I'm back home, far away from my beer stash :stuck_out_tongue: All I have here are 3 750ml bottles of Saison Dupont, Chimay Triple and Westmalle Tripel, and a SN Ruthless Rye, woe is me!! Going to a big Sainsburys tomorrow though so maybe i'll get some then. Shame they never did Past Masters beer, a big Sainsburys 10 miles from London, bah!

Oh go on then, let's see if this Duchy beer malarkey is any cop.

The Duchy beers are quite decent. I remember trying a few of them back when they were sold in Sainsburys.

I've moved on to a Goose Island IPA.

I could just go for one of those, sadly Goose Island and Anchor are no longer available in the local Tesco,
replaced by the decent enough but hardly exciting Samuel Adams Boston and the
'wouldn't touch it with a ten foot beer pole' Blue Moon.

Yep this is alright, even for a golden ale.

Anchor? The San Francisco brewery? I haven't seen that one in my local Tesco, despite it's size...

Yep, Tesco is what gave me a gentle nudge reminder about me liking beer and the just visual appeal of the bottle of Anchor Steam(they also briefly sold their porter) beer also introduced me to good American beer, though I reckon it's getting on to about two years since I've seen them on the shelves.

Let's give this Citra a try, I've been waiting too long for it.

Anchor's a good solid brewery. Each one of the 8 i've had has been excellent.

Yeah, I like their beers as well. Especially the Christmas 'special' that changes each year. Just picked up their Bock the other day - I'm guessing it's a new release for Spring.

Looking forward to tackling my American haul when I'm home tomorrow night!

No pubs with in walking distance :slight_frown: I hate living in the countryside. Also nobody to go with. I therefore <3 bottled beer.

Went to a pub which has just reopened, out in the sticks too. 5 pumps plus Bass on gravity.Had a nice pint of Leeds Brewery's Pale then noticed Bass on gravity behind the bar. Tried a pint of this-in absolutely perfect nick-and stayed with it for the rest of my stay. There's life in the old dog yet and Bass at its best is an superb pint.

Keeping the beer flag flying with some M&S Lancashire Dark Mild.

Would love to go to the pub but have an empty wallet but a healthy cupboard lol.
