That just happened. http://www.chicagorealestatedaily.c.../130419833/big-hurt-brewpub-on-deck-in-berwyn
Does this mean that Minhas won't be producing the beer that is sold there? Minhas not making beer is always good news.
I suppose in the technical sense of the term, two points make a line, so a "line of craft beer" can consist of two options?
Saw on the news that the groundbreaking for this took place yesterday. When I initially saw the report, I was like wow, that logo reminds me of Breckenridge Brewery...With all of the logo disputes present these days, think we'll see a cease and desist? Here's a comparison:
Compared to most malt liquors, I thought Big Hurt was decent. No heavy "grape drank" flavor and even more important, I didn't get any off-flavors. If I needed to get a cheap malt liquor, I would definitely consider this. That said, I tried one can 2 years ago and have not even considered getting another since. Overall, I don't mind an option for a 7% so-so beer for $1.50/24 oz but in no way am I interested in a brewpub that focuses on something like this.
It's a "brew house" in name only, no beer will actually be brewed there. Probably will continue to be brewed at Minhas.
