if I lived near Jester King, I'd kill to volunteer there. Even if it was cleaning up elephant dung. Don't ask me why there are elephants in this JK fantasy

This is a test batch where fermentation is a product of yeasts from flowers growing on our land.

A couple of observations/thoughts from today:

    1) JK is getting popular... I thought maybe my previous outing (during SXSW) was an abnormality, but it was certainly not. Place was pretty packed today.
    2) The experimental sour was pretty great, as was the guest stout, and the salt lick (had it before, but it was delicious again).
    3) I've never seen so many samples poured out in my life. Tried to get my glass under one... Was unsuccessful. Tried to get my camelback filled, also unsuccessful.

All in all, another great time. If the wife would let me, I'd probably spend every Saturday afternoon out there.

Very nice weather today. Also, there were a TON of events bringing people into town this weekend: MotoGP at Circuit of the Americas, Marleyfest at Auditorium Shores, UT Baseball/Volleyball, and all the various other musical activities downtown. It's been completely nuts downtown, I can tell ya that.

I'm curious to see if so many people still show up if and when we're allowed to operate like a brewery in most other states with a bar and bottle shop.

I haven't visited yet due to my tight finances, but if JK had a bar and bottle shop, I'd be focusing on visiting sooner and more frequently.

and it will be interesting to see how that will effect retailers like us - coz majority of local craft beer drinkers goes for local brewery tours ? and if they getting to buy there beer (cheap) at a local brewery then y buy from us and y not stock up when they go to the brewery :-)

We've been advised by brewers in other states not to undercut your local bottle shops in terms of beer to go pricing, which makes sense if we still want you to carry our beer.

The flipside however is that by us having the right to sell bottles to go, we'll be able to grow faster and provide your store with a better and more diverse supply of our beer in the future.

    - Jeff

P.S. We appreciate you supporting us by selling our beer.

Agree, can't think of any brewery that is cheaper than a large store, except cantillon... Which is less than half price of local shops.

That all makes sense... Living out in Cedar Park makes me forget all the craziness downtown.

Even though it was busy yesterday, I was really impressed by the speed of the pours/lines. The taproom line got a little long, but I didn't wait any more than 5 minutes the entire day.

Let me know if any Uber is still available. Bought one yesterday but should have grabbed 2 since it is so rare that I see it!

Was at Crooked Stave yesterday and the guys mentioned that one of the JK guys had been up there recently with a few beers. All the guys pouring wouldn't shut up about their love for Funk Metal! They were all for a CS/JK collaboration at some point! High praises for JK there!
