1.026 is quite low... I would expect the FG to be slightly lower than 1.010 as a majority of the fermentables will be converted due to the low amount of sugar in your beer. An OG in the mid-high 1.030's would make for a decent lighter/session beer. My light Summer IPA's OG came in at 1.042 and FG of 1.010... For me, 1.040 was a good target.

Your beer will only come to ~2.5% ABV, much too low for my taste. You may notice your beer to turn out a little thin and watery... Only time will tell, however.

    Hope it comes out great!

Started a Amarillo single hop IPA on Thursday that's bubbling away quite nicely

Thanks for the response! Just figured we would give this experiment a try. If it fails it was only $6 in hops so not a big deal. We were shooting for about 3.5% abv, pretty much trying to do a shorts prolonged enjoyment clone.

Oh well you brew and you learn.

I brewed an APA on Sun., was my first All-Grain. I used 3-different hops: Simcoe, Citra and Montueka. Going to dry hop with some Citra leaf. It's currently fermenting away in my new fermentation chamber. Smells awesome!

Made 6 gal of dunkelweizen Sunday afternoon. Wanted to do it last weekend but ended up not having time. Missed mash temps but got 75% eff. Was fermenting in 10 hours with WLP300. A touch of blowoff when I got home later on, but its almost done now. I just hope it doesnt finish too low. I am going to shoot high from now on and adjust with ice like I do with my sparges.

How large was the Passion Fruit puree, cost, and where did you pick it up?

The APA IPA is a classic already! And iit was a tremendously good beer too, embracing everything an IPA should be IMO. I plan to brew it again, this time a little more like MrOH's plan to wing it with what he has available. I'll probably use the same grain bill as the original (but switching out some GP might be cool). However, I'd like to try some different hops (same basic schedule and IBUs tho, adjusted for AAs).

I am hoping to brew again this weekend. I need to make the double-smash vienna/munich+belma/cascade (that I planned to make and forgot about, lol).

Mmm... munich malt, the ultimate single malt malt. Can't say I've tried that specific hop combo, but I doubt it will come out anything other than delicious.

I cannot remember all of the details. I believe it was $7 for 14oz of puree, which is way more potent than the fruit on its own. I used 3 packages and it worked perfectly. I am making another Berliner Weiss that will use some passion fruit so i will be able to tell you more of the details when I buy more on Friday. I bought it from Brazil by the Bay. It is located near Modern Times.

Why would a puree be more potent than a fresh fruit?

for one, passion fruit has very thick shell (though fairly light). Even considering just the pulp, the pulp of the fruit has a lot of seeds within it that the puree does not. The stuff I used is just the fruit part, no seeds. I guess I will have to buy some fresh passion fruit again to 100% confirm the packets (maybe puree is the wrong word) are better (more efficient fruit ratio?). My main point, is though the packets are a little pricey, they are worth it since the entire weight is the fruit, unlike the actual fruit where a lot of the weight is waste.

I see what you're saying. I was assuming equal weight in 'flesh.'
