Just curious if anyone knows when it is going to drop around town, this is top 5 imperial stouts for me and I don't want to miss it. Any info would be great (especially South Denver for me!). Cheers all!

If I had to guess, I would say this week. It shipped on the 14th or 15th I think, so it should hit the select accounts first (probably later in the week).

Just going off of trends, my guess was 2 or 3 weeks from Friday. That seems like the average from "release" to "being on shelves" with FW Proprieter Series. But who knows, sooner the better!

Just keep checking Lukas' blog, they'll update when they get it and when it will be released.

Should be this week but I do know CO allocations got cut in half because the great state of Texas gets our other half. Thanks Firestone. Thanks.

I think FW barrel aging is some of the best in the business but if I get shut out on Parabola because they wanted to send beer somewhere else I'll hold a grudge against em. We get enough good beer here that it's just as easy to buy a local product instead.

Got word that it won't be this week either... looks like hoping for next week will suffice.

My calendar showed 2nd week of May last year, so last week of April / first week of May would be an improvement.

Early next week? I have to go to San Diego for work at the end of next week and it sure would suck to miss Parabola this year. I'll have to drown my sorrows in Alpine.

Really? It disappeared around Denver fast this year. I'm also torn on whether Parabola is better than Abacus or not. They are both two of my favorite barrel aged (non-lambic) beers.

Really, and I agree that both are fantastic.

Parabola stuck around Fort Collins waaaaaay longer than it did in Denver last year. But I do remember seeing Parabola on the shelves in Denver for a couple weeks last year.

Don't forget that we are getting half our regular allocation.

Abacus disappeared in Denver almost as soon as it hit the shelf...or in the case of most places, as soon as you had to hunt down the beer guy and ask if they had it hidden somewhere.
My guess is that with the smaller allocations, Parabola will be the same. Times have changed and it's not just the people on BA and RB that know about these beers anymore.
I randomly found some 2012 Parabola sitting on the shelf at Wilbur's 2 weeks ago and was stunned. I can only imagine they either lost or stashed it for a rainy day, but at least I have that if this years sells out in an hour.

Well, that sucks for texas if they get just half of our allocation, they have what 4/5x as many people?

also, didnt FW up the amount the produced? I heard from 3000 cases to 3600 this year? maybe im wrong
