All great. I've had plenty of all three and personally I like Headhunter.

I live in Cleveland, and I have to say that headhunter fresh is one of the best around. Way better than Alchemy Hour and way better hopslam (it tastes sweet to me). If you have time or going to DLD try IBUsive one of the best ipas around.

I'm the 3rd 6-pack into my second case. Yea I am a bit worn out. Don't mistake that for thinking it's not good, just had a lot as of recent.

Not to hijack your thread, but I suggest you seek out White Rajah. All of the beers you listed are great, but I personally think Rajah is the best of the bunch.

That's too bad, they're all great beers. Captain's Reserve is nice and dry and so, so hoppy but when the hops fade a bit a honey sweetness in the malt comes out that early on blurs the line with sweet citrus hops flavor, like tangerine juice was blended into the malt. If that makes any sense. It's honey-ish, to me. I've never had Hopslam, though.

I think that Alchemy Hour may be the best DIPA that I have had. I may have to do some side by sides; but I am intimately familiar with all the west coast IPAs and had most of the rest of the big name drops. Alchemy Hour is phenomenal!

I bought 7 sixers of Sucks and have 1 bottle left.
I bought 1 four pack of Alchemy Hour and have 1 bottle left.
I haven't had Head Hunter in over a year and while I enjoyed it it never blew me away.

Sucks wins on taste alone. Then factor in that 6 bottles of Sucks cost approximately the same as 4 bottles of HH or Alchemy and its no contest.

I've had quite a few of each of these beers fresh and I have a definite order although I think all 3 are great just comes down to personal taste differences between the 3.
    1. Sucks
    2. Head hunter
    3. Alchemy hour

Can't compare the three, Alchemy is a DIPA with 2% more booze...that being said...

Fresh Headhunter (on tap) is perhaps the best beer on planet Earth. It doesn't package quite as well as I would have hoped.

Sucks is crazy good, probably the best packaged beer out there. I'll proclaim it's the winner in bottles but falls short of fresh HH on tap.

Alchemy is good but still tastes like Great Lakes house yeast in the bottle, which is a huge turnoff to me. It can't hold a candle to the big West Coast DIPA's. Alpine Bad Boy and Pizza Port Poor Man's run circles around this little wanna-be.

You live in Indiana and are complaining about access to good beer? 3 Floyds anyone? I would drink their stuff any day over the 3 you mentioned. I love Alchemy, Sucks, and HH, but Panzer Wolf kills them. Dreadnaught, ZD, Gumballhead? Come on. Those beers kill all of their rivals any day!

First off that wasn't my intention to compare those three to anything else - just each other.

Second - Zombie Dust and Gumballhead are not available where I live except for the occasional keg every couple of months or so. My "access" to the brewery would require a 400 mile road trip. At $10 or $11 a bomber Arctic Panzer Wolf and Dreadnaught are treats. A 4 pack of Headhunter costs less than that.

Headhunter was good, but it was slightly above par for me, just didnt hit my palate right. Sucks was great with both thr nose and taste, but alchemy hour really brought it home, i couldnt put it down once i started drinking, it had everything you could ask for in an ipa but above all it had a uniqueness that seperates it from others

Sucks best value as far as price point.
This is a great question, but will be somewhat skewed, as fresh here in Ohio, I am 5 miles to GL, and about 15 miles to fathead's / Headhunter, so fresh access easy, while sucks around here is / was rationed out like gold by the local beverage stores.

Headhunter, but by the smallest of margins, and I cannot pick a second, because NONE of them deserve to be second, or third for that matter. When I tried all three of these, for the first time, I was blown away. Very few beers I can say that about, where the first impression was WOW, and you put them all into one comparison. Outstanding question!

Comparing an IPA to a big DIPA isn't exactly fair, they're different styles.

Maybe I had a bad 4-pack, as I only had one 4-pack, but I simply do not get the Alchemy Hour love. I thought it was straight mediocre. I don't know...I feel like I'm missing something here.

That being said. All things being equal, I'd go: Sucks, HH............Alchemy.

HH on tap is maybe the best, but I've never had the others on tap so I'm not letting that influence me. Oh, and the cask conditioned HH is freaking amazing.
