I went in to WLV yesterday expecting to be able to pickup Simcone Ninja or Murderous since I knew they received them early last week and assumed they had held them for a couple of days for FwB members, to my surprise they said they had sold out of both days ago. When I asked how long they held them for FwB members before putting them out, they said they didn't hold them back at all and they were available for anyone to purchase as soon as they got them in last week. I guess I dropped the ball on this one. Hopefully vav still has some left.

Yup and they sell multiples to 1 person.

Pipeworks I saw your e-mail and thanks for helping resolve this. Much love

I have plenty of Cascade, Murderous, RTA, & Simcoe all for FWB only. Cascade and Murderous go to the shelves on Friday. Simcoe & RTA go to the shelves next Tuesday (7 days)

    April 23, 2013 Update

    Hello Friends,

    This week brings us:

Simcoe Ninja - just like Cascade & Citra Ninja, but with the lovely new crop of Simcoe hops and this one might be our favorite of the bunch ;-)
    $10.99/22oz bottle

Raspberry Truffle Abduction - we made some improvements with this batch so hopefully you <sic> [notice] them, $12.99/25.4oz bottle

Cases have been delivered to both West Lakeview & Binny's Lincoln Park today and are currently available for pickup now. West Lakeview had some issues last week and ran out of Cascade quickly. If you have any doubts you can always call ahead if you are coming later in the week for pick up. Kristina at WLV has been at city hall for the past week because some malcontent has been opposing their liquor license expansion. Pipeworks actually testified on their behalf so we are hoping for a good outcome there and apologize for those who missed on Cascade.

In other news... we might be canning your favorites sometime next year... how bout that. ;-)

I bought one each of both Murderous and Cascade Ninja at WLV Saturday morning. Had to ask -- they had them both behind the counter. (Glad I did, since I don't think either made it to the 'burbs!)

Hopefully someone can help me wrap my mind around how these releases happen. Just from reading this thread it makes it sound like Pipeworks announces a release (ie: cascade ninja) then that new release is sent to a few different stores for FwB to pick up. Then after a few days whatever is left, the rest of the world can go in and purchase it.Then a week later, Pipeworks releases it to the rest of its accounts in the city and burbs.

    Is this remotely correct?

sorry FWB theres an explanation for that too.... while Kristina and I were at the Daley Center fighting the man, the city of Chicago became the city of Atlantis and WLV's cellar basement became part of that.... so stock got moved around and when FWB came in for bottles they thought they were out. It's not a perfect system. If I were coming from the burbs I would call and ask to set one aside first to make sure.

we release to WLV and Binny's Lincoln Park the same week as all other stores... Cascade Ninja and Murderous we're extremely low yields, only 50 cases each, so they only made it to about 1/3 of our accounts if that.

The guy at Life's a Cab said he gets his bottles sometimes minutes after bottling, so take it fwiw. Also, someone just mentioned how overpriced PW is there, and well, while I was happy to have snagged an RTA while it lasted, can't say I'll ever visit that shop again because of this.

Funny story about the owner of Life's a Cabernet. He was caught stealing a case of Gumballhead from one of my friend's garage a few year's ago after being invited to hang out for an evening. He's an ass hat.
