Not the most popular topic on here, but what are some beers that are similar to DFH 90 Minute? I think it's unique among DIPAs but I'd like to hear what else might be similar.

    Thanks.

90 Minute and Bells Two Hearted Ale were the first IPAs that I got into. Two Hearted isn't as strong as 90 Minute though.

I've been drinking 90 Minute for damn near a decade now, and there's just nothing else like it. Burton Baton used to be pretty similar, but it seems they changed the recipe a little while back.

Dayman Coffee IPA reminded me of DFH 90 on draft.

Between the floral, almost perfumy hop aroma with a citrus backdrop, malt and yeast signatures, there aren't bound to be many close comparisons. Two that come to mind for different reasons- extremely fresh Finestkind will approximate some of the hop aroma, while Green Flash Hop Head Red does have the malt aspect down, along with some similar floral/citrus aromas in lower amounts: maybe blend the two . Either that or just keep on enjoying the 90 Min; nothing wrong with sticking to a beer you really like, especially if it's a 'one-of'. Get it fresh, though.

DFH brews are unique unto themselves.

Great Divide Hercules and Great Lakes Lake Erie Monster are 2 that come to mind as being similar to 90 IMO.
If you like 90, you should also try DFH Burton Baton which is sort of an oak aged 90 minute and is very good.

I thought Flying Dog Raging Bitch shared some similar qualities.

Add a lot of sugar to any good ipa, at vodka if you need more abv. Should be close enough.

Honestly quite surprised at the snobbyness in this thread. Sure, it doesn't stand up to the Headys and Plinys of the world, or even beers like Double Trouble or Double Jack, but this is still a solid Imperial IPA. And you dont have to travel or trade for it.

To echo what someone said earlier, I think GD Hercules is prob the closest.

Agreed with your sentiments on snobyness!

As far as GD Hercules, I had never thought of it, but I'll have to do a side by side. I can certainly see (taste) the similarites.

Not to argue but Two Hearted is NOTHING like 90 Minute. 90 Minute is much more of an English-style IPA with a substantial malt backbone while Bell's is a very citrusy IPA with a lighter malt-bill.

Pretty sure this is arguing. Also, I think it's allowed.
