Abraxas and BA Abraxas

There's a lot of "I don't see that trade happening now" and very little "this is what it's trading for now"

 

I got both of mine in bigger packages so I have not got one yet in a trade for only BA Abraxas or I would offer up what I got mine for.

Either way no one chiming in on what got done recently is telling.

 

just wait till it comes back out, it will be easier to get

 

I traded BT '12, Darkness '12, and ORF '12 for 1 BA Abraxas about 2 weeks ago... Basically I put up a large list and said pick any 3 and those were the final 3 he went with.

Dunno if that's what's its trading for NOW, but it worked fairly recently

Why will it be easier? Their increase in popularity will attract more people/demand for the next release and soak up any trading ease with the larger batch, which still isn't a large amount of bottles anyways.

 

it'll at least get some of the tickers out of the way which can lower demand. or maybe there'll be more bottles. who knows what will happen.

i liked BA abraxas but to me it doesn't justify its insane trade value right now.

 

No one around here seems to realize that you cannot drink baseball cards. Well, maybe we can if we can get breweries to put those dope little golden "All Rookies Team" trophies printed on the labels of batch 1's.

 

the trade was initiated a while ago. i did one of those mega lists of beer i had that i'd trade and then did pick 3 from list A and 1 from list B for BA Abrax. i was looking for a bunch of stuff and got lots of overlapping offers so went with the combos that made it so i could get the most trades done and the BA Abrax ended up going for 4 HF bottles - not all available at the time of the trade, but nothing uber limited. i had plenty of other offers of BA Abrax for other combos on my list so it is definitely gettable, you just need to put out an offer that someone can't refuse. however, threads like these and the current perrenial explosion on the trade forums doesn't help.

same method i used...i guess this is the way to go. put up a list with several desireable beers and let someone pick which few they want (pro-tip = specifying how many bottles from the list they can choose works a lot better than "some combination of" type of offers).

 

larger batch, much tighter bottle limits, more people will get it. down side, will be the most likely 2 bottles per person

 

1 month ago I traded away 2 Voodoo releases (1 BA Black Magick and 1 BA Voodoo Daddy) for a BA Abraxas

 

I agree it will spread out more but small bottle limits have their own difficulty in trading too. Batch 2 trades will be riding the coat tails of this release unless people don't put up with it.

 

Just did a trade recently for BA Abraxas that included a handful (3) of Crooked Stave beers. Batch1 being the most noteworthy. Then again it was on the other site as well. Another recent one included BCBVS plus a shelf HF beer. Just a matter of finding the right bait and casting it under their noses i suppose.

 

How much did BA Abraxas go for? For what people are giving up, I hope it's in the $40-50 range.

 

When it comes to walez, this forum gives me the impression that bottle price is about as important as flavor. (That is to say: not very.)

 

I'm not sure BA Abraxas is a whale yet. Hoarded minnow, maybe.

 

It's was 23 bucks if I remember correctly, and regular abraxas cost 18-21 dollars in stl fwiw.
Ba behemoth wick cherries goes 1:1 some people just would rather have a barrel aged stout though

 

I feel like it will be harder to get trade wise, if I only have 2 bottles I wouldn't trade more than one if any, unlike this release where I traded multiple bottles
