Blue Max is like Firkins in that it's worth the trip if you happen to be standing next to it when the Tweet goes out.

Disclaimer: I love Blue Max and Firkins - just not for limiteds.

Liquor Barrel GV just got it but aren't doing sales until 4:30.

I'll be sitting this one out but you should be guaranteed a bottle if you show up early...

I'm not sure I understand this tactic...still makes it impossible for anyone with a day job. In fact, I could have run over there now over lunch but instead won't get it because I have meetings until 5. @#!@#*#$%

Picked up a bottle at Haskell's in white bear around noon. It wasn't on the shelf and He said he could only sell me one, so I assume there was more.

Well I guess the only fair option left is for all retailers who receive limited beer is to get together and collectively decide who will release the beer hour by hour. When a customer purchases a bottle they will have their photo and information entered into a shared database which will prevent any person from getting more than the decided upon (by BA vote/cagematch) allotment. This is the only way everyone wins. Oh, there will also be a government imposed price cap. WTF...

Sell tickets for the price of 1 bottle. Lotto drawing determines which tickets get to buy the "whale." The rest of the tickets become redeemable for store credit.

Stopped by my local for some cans and decided to ask if they got doom or were getting (not thinking I had a chance). Turns out they had one bottle left! Wow I am lucky! I didn't think I'd end up with a bottle. I know this doesn't help anyone and I am not trying to brag. I am just excited that I actually got one of these bottles without having to call, drive, or go crazy.

I picked up one bottle. I figured someone on here would want it. If interested, BM me. Not looking for Chocolate Rain. We can work out something reasonable.

I missed out on this one. My usual local beer store always switches it up on rare releases, from online and phone reservations, to putting your name on a mailing list in the store, to just putting it out and limiting to one or two bottles. This was a put it out on the shelf and limit to one bottle a person one, and I always miss them because of work. A little frustrating, but I usually get most of the others.

Haskell's white bear lake got theirs in yesterday. Not sure if any left, but I was lucky enough to get one off the truck.
