High expectations, but a very big disappointment?

ballast point Sculpin - both in bottle and on tap. Good beer yes, but not great.

It's overall rate on BA is 'Exceptional' and it tastes like Miller High Life. That's overrated in my book. Take out the Russian River name and this beers rating drops a whole point (and I mean 4.1->3.1, not 93->92).

Never had it on tap. Actually passed it up at EBF because I was so underwhelmed with the bottle release.

Darkness--singularly unspectacular whale beer. Surly should put it in cans instead of waxed magnums.

DFH 120 is an absolute mess to me. Agree too on last year's devil dancer. Horrible.

I know what you mean but this years is fantastic. I'm hoping my 2011 loses some of its bitterness.

Was it fresh?, Im a huge fan of the Ruination and i know fresh its amazing but after a month or two you lose that fresh IPA flavor we all know and love

both of those beers are boozy, abrasive, unbalanced messes. i love founders but that one is a complete miss for me.

Yes, it was fresh. Sorry, but it's just not as good as the hype and ratings.

DFH Hellhound on my Ale...had it on tap and it was similar to a granny smith cider with lemon cleaner and no hop profile. Stunned!

Some of you need to realize taste is hugely subjective. What's great to some may not be to you. So stop saying some beers are awful and just say that YOU didn't like them and why.

It's not like you have the all mighty perfect beer palate.

I think everyone gets this point- when someone says 'this beer sucks' they mean 'I don't like it'. Same thing,.

I don't see how anyone can be let down by Lagunitas...So solid and consistent, great beers at a great price. How can you not like Lagunitas Sucks and like a lot of the better IPA's out there...?
