    Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that our First Cast IPA is now available in Salida and will be moving to Chaffee, Lake, Park, and Summit counties over the next few weeks with Mount Blanca launching next week.

Here is a description of our beer:

    The Story:

Our team decided what would be better than having our first beer be our personal ‘session’ beer of choice, a hop-forward west coast style American IPA. First Cast is named for the first few moments of joy you get as you began a great day of fishing on the river, as well as after the fact that this beer was our ‘first cast’ into the fantastic Colorado beer scene.

    The Beer:
First Cast pours a hazy gold, with soft orange hues and white fluffy head that sits on its peak like the snow on the 14,000-foot mountains that are the backdrop to our microbrewery. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, and citrus hops as well as hints of caramel and fresh bread from our locally grown malt invade the senses. The beer hits with a smooth hop bitterness that tingles across the tongue with a lingering bite of mountain pine, grapefruit and fresh citrus notes. This beer is designed as an everyday brew for the craft beer aficionado, with a medium body and a high carbonation to refresh your palate after a fantastic day of fly-fishing, skiing, rafting, or a long day at the office.

    75+ IBUs, 6.5% ABV

Thanks guys and let us know what you think!

Hi There! We use Chinhook, Zythos, and Summit, with over two pounds per a barrel. Also we have no plans to go out of the High Country with this beer, you will just have to make a trip up to go skiing, hiking, or fishing and grab a taste afterwards!

    HeyDuke!

We are still working our way north through Chaffee County, so it will be a few weeks at least. We will make sure and post again with some of our locations you can find us at when we hit Summit. And thanks for the interest!

    Cheers.
