I may have had a bottle of KBS stolen. One went missing. It is also possible my friends drank it while I took a piss and forgot they drank it, but I asked them who drank the KBS and everyone denied. So who knows.

They're all over Chicago craigslist if you really want to buy one. I think the cheapest i saw was around $160. $160 can buy a lot of good beer though...

Had a great time! Thanks to MichPaul for driving. Thanks to Founder26 as well for sharing your delicious brews:slight_smile:. I wish I could remember the names of the Wisconsin guys we were hanging with. I am VERY bad with names. Got to try some amazing beers and was able to pop my BA Batch 9K to share with others. I ended up with the BA Port DL. I was damn giddy after that (sorry Paul and Ron :grinning:).

By the end of the day, the sun and beer took its toll. All I could think about was siting down and napping. Still sore from holding my backpack.

    Cheers!

I may have to hit Craigslist if Southwest doesn't find my beer shipper. I'm getting madder as the day progresses because I doubt they'll reimburse at replacement cost.

The extra $15 per ticket this yr was well worth it. The added space, johns, layout, tents, guest taps all made the day very enjoyable. The use of event planning group was A+ IMO. My takeaways:

Positives: Loved all the guest taps. So many good beers to chose from. Wish we'd stayed longer.
Line sharing and discussion. The ratio of super folks to d-bags was off the charts. Guy walking through with his BA DL while I was last in line offered a taste just for "being at the end of the line". Rocks!
They definitely made choice to offer DL on tap while sacrificing lower bottle allocation. I'm good with this, I'm hoping they save more year to year to offer older DL moving forward. It always tastes too sweet to me when new.

For Next Yr: Improve the food. The choices were good, quality was inconsistent.
Figure out different DL distribution. I would've stayed near the guest taps longer if the DL line didn't take so long.

I honestly thought the day was great. Had an awesome time, met lots of very kind, friendly people.

Not much more to say that hasn't been said already, but this was by far the best DLD I've been to. In fact, it was so great that the XV Anniversary debacle has been scorched from my memory banks.

As always, met a ton of great folks, if only for a pour, and got try to some fantastic beers. Oh, and big ups to all the lovely ladies who made the trip this year... Seemed the ratio was far better than prior years, or at least more noticeable with the skin on display because of the weather. Either way, I'm not complaining - might be one of the better effects of craft going mainstream.

I know its a long shot but i'm looking for the guy that shared crooked stave cognac sentience and BB Plead the 5th in group A towards the front. I think he was with the drunk guy in the misfits shirt. I think he said he was from crystal lake?

I didn't necessarily have a bad one, but my opinion was certainly changed in the positive.

Has anyone stated the bottle counts for the variants? I have 711 for BV and 417 for Muerte, but neither of the other two.
