Things beer store employees probably say about us

Lol this.. I mostly wonder what my craft customers have at home in the cellar as well. Lately I've been getting lots of custy's that are buying bottles to lay down

"This guy spends more on beer in one visit than I make in a week at this goddamn store".

 

Good selection and pretty good prices, in my limited experience.

 

I work in a taproom/bottleshop, and unless you are a total dick, no one says anything about you.

 

"Why is that guy carrying that beer like it was a baby?"

 

"Man, this dude is fucking ugly. No wonder he buys all this beer... he needs it to get chicks drunk."

 

"Man,that was one handsome S.O.B. that really digs his craft beer!"

Sometimes I hang around so long squatting down in a back aisle reading labels and looking things up on my phone that they send the security guy for a casual stroll by, because what could I be doing back there other than shoplifting? Go check him out, Terrence, he's been in here for an hour.

 

Adderall, especially XR, would only make you stay there longer. You'd read every bottle and think it was the most important thing in the world. You'd probably have the best conversation of your life with the clerk, too.

 

It's like the lady who checks all the dates on the milk at the supermarket, lol

 

I always wonder if they think I might be a spy for another store, checking every single bit of stock and entering things into my phone.

 

I feel sorry for this guy's wife. Must be like shootin' pool with a wet noodle.

 

Well it's not only to check for a btl date. Some breweries don't btl date so sometimes you have to hold it to the light to see if there is any sediment on the bottom(I usually do that with IPA/DIPA's).It gives you an idea on the freshness of the beer. Hope this helps...CHEERS

 

Here in San Diego its in chaldian so I dont understand.

 

Most awkward moment about 2 weeks ago at my regular spot:
Worker there says to me:" I'm meeting up with a few buddies tonight, what beers do you recommend I take?"!!!
I still have a lot to learn myself but felt good to be asked. Gave him a few recommendations which he told me a few days later they enjoyed. Maybe I should apply for a job there

 

Did I really hear that guy whisper "my precious" to that bottle in his hand?

 

Beat me to it. Ugh, I'll spend a solid 20 minutes looking and buy ONE damn beer.
