It's worth noting that JK didn't even bring up the idea of a reserve society... the last 2-3 pages are mostly BA banter out of nothing else to talk about.

I'm giving away at least 1-2 bottles at Ananke day if you're going. Find me and I'll save one for you.

Based on my previous comments, I'm a fan of reserve societies because in my experience, these "clubs" have enabled me to get other "whales" from friends all over the country. I know that I would join and trade and share those beers with friends all over the country.

I usually buy all of the new JK stuff that comes out, in fact I don't think I haven't bought a bottle that they have produced. I've been to their fests and my wife and I took our engagement pictures at the brewery. Does that not make me loyal? After all of that I don't feel entitled to their beers, I fell like I still need to hunt them down like everyone else if it's something I really want. If they were allowed to do brewery release only beers and it was something I really wanted I would go to the release and wait in line in the morning.

I'm not opposed to RS memberships specifically because I think they are a waste of money for the consumer. Most people who have supported them claim it is because they don't have time to track down releases or just don't want to. An RS membership would also be open to people outside of the state, which means those 100 case releases that JK has would be less cases going to people in state who have them on their "priority list."

"moronic sense of self entitlement," for what not wanting to spend more money on a special membership, whereas, you're allowed to feel entitled because you did spend the money.

"If a brewery is not on your priority list to reserve a certain Amount of your beer budget for what makes you deserve their limited beers"? = entitlement

It shouldn't be about entitlement it should be about effort.

Texas only Reserve Society, billing address must be in TX and/or must provide Texas ID when picking up bottles :grinning:

I think the only reason the Bruery does that is because they can't ship outside of California legally.

That's probably how it would have to legally be as well.

It still obviously wont stop people from out side of TX from obtaining a membership. IE trustee

That's why the billing address would have to be in TX

Yeah I was drinking yesterday sorry if I came off agressive haha. I am personally a fan of the RS memberships when it cones to good breweries. Honestly it kinda makes you feel special when you get these limited bottles others can't get. Don't think that's wrong especially since I trade some like I already traded 2 chocolate rains so others could try them.

NO! The IP address used to open up the paypal account has to be located in the Texas geographical region :stuck_out_tongue:
