You guys have to consider the context of the article. It was not written for the expert beer snobs that we are, it was written for the average beer drinker with little knowledge of craft beer. If its keep simple and sparks craft beer interest in that demographic, then I think its a good article.

Not to mention, there are actually at least 360 breweries, actually i take that back at least 361. One just opened yesterday in San Diego County (again, haha) San Diego County is on the top 10 list alone.

It's more of an article about what states are good when you travel for beer. But they should've considered other things like the size of the state and how centralized breweries are so that you can hit as many as possible on your trip. Texas is massive.

"You may not find the big name craft brews of other states, but what you will find is some hidden gems -- and maybe your new favorite -- at local institutions like Bells Brewery and Founders Brewery."

I didn't know that after 30 years of existence in the craft beer industry and mass distribution to much of the United States (mind you you can buy Bell's at grocery stores and Walgreen's) that Bell's is still considered a hidden gem? Am I missing something here?

Still a lot of the US (including the 3 most populous states of NY, CA, TX) not yet in Bell's distribution area (in gold below).

The next 7 by population are covered. I was surprised but that.
