Sucks you had to go through this, 100% support for you here. The only way this guy can recover is if he apologizes and changes his tune. BAs are too smart to fall for this bullshit.

apparently he still sells out of pliny at $8/bottle so maybe not everyone is as smart as you think.

BAs overpay for beer all the time.

That said, I'll bet that BAs are a pretty insignificant fraction of his customer base.

To be honest I'm not sure he does sell out. Like I said before he sold me a Pliny that was over a month old after exclaiming on Facebook, "Just got more of the 'good stuff'!" He calls Pliny the "good stuff". I have a feeling he just decides when he has any in stock to make it look like he's getting more every week and in turn getting people to come into his store.

YUP! Because no one is that special to receive Pliny once, even less, two times a week.

i've been saying, dont buy your over priced pliney there, go across the street to Tustin brewco and get a growler of their ipa instead.

I bought that same month old Pliny as well and immediately thought he was hoarding it in order to sell small amounts each week. However, I went and bought Pliny the following day at TW (literally as Pliny was being delivered) and it had the same bottling date. I think Bradley's has a lot of shady practices, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Really? What Total Wine gets Pliny? I have never seen it at either Huntington Beach or Tustin ... does not show up on their inventory page either.

HB doesn't get it at all. Tustin and Brea get it mostly on Tuesdays, and sometimes Thursdays. They don't announce it as there is no need to. It flies same day it is received.

Good to know. Same days Bradley's usually get the Elder.

TW Tustin doesn't put Pliny on the shelf. They leave it in their back cooler, but anyone is free to walk in and grab a bottle. But like Mmikey8 said, it doesn't last the day. Typically they get just 24 bottles.
