Thanks, Lutter, thanks. I was trying to capture the moment that No Label would MAYBE be inspired to try some interested and wild/traditional styles.

Now I'm just the straw man.

    You're ... welcome?

You still in Austin? You missed a bunch of fun at Austin Beerworks yesterday.

Came for jester king, leaving in 30 minutes back to Houston. I have to work at 5 pm.

By the way, the guest tap of Ritterguts Gose yesterday was awesome.

If Texas law changes and we can operate a tap room where you can buy our beer for both on-site and off-site consumption, what hours would you like to see?

Honestly, your tap room is only easily accessible for casual visits to people who live far southwest Austin area. I don't think it'd be worth your while to be open to the public any more than you are already.

Maybe a trial run on Friday evenings? If that seems worthwhile, then think about expanded hours.

Maybe just open longer on the weekends.

One night a week would be cool. Say 4-10. Jester King Beer Advocate night. Would be awesome if you guys sold bottles mon-sat.

You may be correct, although current law oddly enough creates a disincentive for us to keep our more limited beers at the brewery. For example, while we like having free samples of Boxer's Revenge available on Saturdays, we rarely do so because we need to sell that beer off-site to stay in business. Now if we could sell Boxer's Revenge at Jester King, we'd certainly keep more of it around to sell at our tap room (both glasses for on-site consumption and bottles to go). Personally, my goal (assuming we can sell beer) is to at all times have a fruited barrel-aged sour beer on a cask engine in our tap room.

Jeff, allow me to speak for everyone and say that is a goal we would all like to see met.

As someone in the service industry, the prospect of non-weekend tasting room hours sounds amazing. I'd say 12-8 or thereabouts would be ideal, w/ extended hours on Friday and Saturday perhaps. If Stanley's kept the same hours, that would be some extra icing on an icing covered cake.

Jeff, you're making me dishonor my Houstonian roots and consider a move to Austin with all this taproom talk!

Unless he really likes the smell of pee and having the temp get even hotter when it rains.

If you could have Sunday or Monday night tap room hours... that's what I'd go for. Like TapThat said, us service industry folks don't get out to nearly enough brewery stuff just because Saturday is pretty much always the biggest day of the week for me. I maybe get 5-6 saturdays off a year!

It really is like wading through a pissed-in children's pool every time you venture outside.

Thank heavens for the heat... if this place had the weather of California we'd have to build a fence and close the borders! It's the one last thing to scare people away!

Three Floyd's is about half an hour outside of Chicago and the brewpub is open until 2am. Just food for thought.
