Like all 3, but I have to vote for Bigfoot, love it with about 5 years on it.

However ,3 different types all amazing. You could ask anyone and get a different answer depending on their preference, and mine is stouts. I don't know that there is a clear winner.

 

I like Bigfoot. Thought narwhal was average for style, whereas Bigfoot fresh is the definition of American style barleywine.

 

My personal choice is definitely Narwhal. I only say this because stouts are my go to style. However, Bigfoot is delicious and so is Hoptimum. Those 3 are probably my favorite Sierra Nevada brews. I personally don't think you could go wrong with any of this.

Talk about a dead heat.

 

Gonna go with Bigfoot, closely followed by Narwhal. Still haven't had Hoptimum, though! Probably gonna change that in the next week or so.

 

The fact that these are so close is quite an achievement by SN.

Looks like I need another Hoptimum this season.... And my ratings put Narwhal first, just havent had the pleasure of some aged Narwhal yet. Or with bacon at midnight.

 

gotta be honest, I'm not a huge fan of bigfoot. It seems to me like it'd be awesome with a year or more on it, but it's just got so much alchohol heat. Hoptimum is just friggin awesome. Haven't had narwhal, for some reason it's super hard to find around here.

 

Narwhal went back to sea for the summer.

 

Call me old-fashioned, but Bigfoot is one release I look forward to stocking up on every year. I do like Hoptimum, and they hit the ball out of the park with Narwhal, but there's always going to be a place in my heart for Bigfoot.

 

Bigfoot, then hoptimum. I didn't care much for Narwhal I found to too hoppy for my liking. I have a couple bottles hanging around, waiting for that quality to fade.

 

I'll have to give Hoptimum another whirl. After drinking the batch one bigger bottle I put it to rest. I'll revisit soon.

Would be interesting to do this poll again in September (beginning of Narwahl season) and again in January (beginning of Bigfoot season) to see if the results change. They're all top-notch. But, I wonder if Hoptimum is currently leading (barely) because of the hype right at this moment, since it just started to hit the shelves.

 

Chose hoptimum, it could of been any of them though

 

1. SN has fine tuned this year's batch of Hoptimum to DIPA perfection
2. Narwhal
3. No real love for Bigfoot here, way too harsh for my taste. A distant third for me

 

Been heading in this direction in the last 4-5 yrs imo. More drinkable and less rough right out of the gate. Been aging more gracefully in the 9 mo - 3 yr time period too where it used to get all grassy/musty from oxidation of hop properties.
