According to stalker book Joseph wolf has passed the final legal hurdle and have the green light to sell some beer. They released the label for their first brew and it's a berliner weiss, I am ecstatic about the prospect of three local bw's to drink all summer, hopefully all three are excellent.
Pour decisions in Roseville brews up one called called "acerbity" every few months. Purity used to contract one with brau brothers before they hung it up. I never tried it but I hear it was well above average, I really wish brau brothers would work it a deal for the recipe and release it as their own. But maybe that's just wishful thinking
I just heard that new glarus is delivering their thumbprint bw this week, so that should be worth a trip across the river
Here's a very good article from a little while back. Sounds like some ambitious plans for Stillwater.
just to bump this thread, they posted on "the book" that they are having a release party on the 26th at mad capper, and it will be available there and at firkens initially.
The event does not show up here, but folks trolling Beer Advocate's magical event queue will find it Here.
brewed a dubrue, I don't know the age but I doubt it's aged a year. is that the normal fermentation period for a berliner? I doubt many brewers age them that long.
also a little off topic butthis seems to have become a Midwest berliner weiss thread, schells is bottling their star of the north berliner weiss today and will be releasing it after two weeks of aging in their warehouse
Well, I'll claim to know that this beer was brewed long ago and has been sitting in a wharehouse for ages. We will know when it hits market if its drinkable or past it's prime.
I had some with dinner yesterday in stillwater. it was pretty good, not nearly as complex as new glarus, but that may not be a bad thing
