You should be. Good offerings from them top to bottom. Jack D'or is a personal favorite for me. Also, love Meadowlark (seasonal IPA). Dug there Once Upon A Times series, specifically the porter. It was sneaky good. Got the chance to meet Dann and Martha a few times at their beer releases and other places they were pouring, they are really good people. Enjoy.

 

Sat next to Dan & Martha 3 (?) years ago at the Eb's Belgian Dinner. They were oddly unfriendly unlike the other 8 people at the table - and this was after the whole room got quite convivial. I like their beers fine, but could do without the outfits/dress-up/steam punk/retro thing they bring to the festivals & advertising. Pouring beer in a long-sleeve button-down shirt and a vest in 90-degree heat at BCTC - for what?

 

Hi. Martha and I are just finishing up the Maine paperwork right now actually. We'll definitely be up pouring at The Festival and will hopefully launch with an event the weekend before that. I guess watch our website or twitter. We're really looking forward to spending some time in southern Maine.

Going to have to disagree with you there. We went to thief Fluffy White Rabbits launch last year and my wife and I were sitting in the corner and they came up to us, thanked us for coming and talked to us for a while. As far as dressing up they are having fun doing what they are doing, why shit on it?

Agreed. I went to a release party they did for a beer (can't remember which one now) at the Precinct in Union Square a few winters back, and Dann said hello and tried to teach me some little game that was on the bar. That was totally unprompted--I was just waiting to order a beer at the bar, and he couldn't have been friendlier and seemed like more of a normal guy, albeit one who brews excellent beer. As for the dressing up, they seem to enjoy it, and it seems to endearing to be just ironic, so as long as they're having fun and brewing such great beer, I've got absolutely no qualms. Actually one qualm: I hope they start distributing to my once (and possibly) future home of New Hampshire sometime in the not-so-distant future as well.

 

And hopefully you will be spending time in CT. soon as well.........
