It reminded me of a cross between Furious and SN Celebration. Definately better than average IPA. With the recent adding of this and Overrated we have a tremendous number of choices when it comes to great IPAs in this market.

Personally, yes. But I know it is all a matter of preference. Somehow the six hops in Ethos (I don't know what they are) just hit the spot for me. So now, my favorite year round IPAs are Ethos, Furious, Stone IPA, Two Hearted, and Odell IPA, and I guess I am giving the edge to Ethos. Adding seasonals into the mix, Celebration and Founders Harvest are up there with Ethos.

So is there anything common across those I love, besides being kick ass IPAs?

Tried this at the Craft Beer Expo yesterday and thought it was really tasty, although I'm a little disapointed that it will be replacing their current IPA which I also really enjoy.

Drinking this for the first time right now. it's a great beer for sure, but it doesn't seem like this is clocking in at 110 IBUs at all. This is a very balanced IPA and at 110 IBU, would have figured it would be extremely bitter. Solid IPA for sure and one I will drink often, but not in my top 10 IPAs.

Urbandale Hy-Vee has it. Is this the same IPA as the one with the elephant on it? Or a new recipe?

It's gotta be better than the can of Furious I just had. First time I've ever had a bad one. It tastes like they forgot to use hops while they made it. Nothing but malt.

Is there a date stamp on it?

Mid March, which isn't that bad. It's been in my fridge the entire time. I've had much older Furious taste fine.

New recipe. It's a "west-coast" ipa. 110 ibu, etc. much less malt than their old recipe.

Mine had a "best by date" of 9/19/13 on it, which I would assume meant a 3/19/13 canning date. Yeah...not horrible, but I would still love to try this one fresh. As noted previously, this didn't taste like it was clocking in at 110 IBU, but that may have been because it was one and a half months old already and had fallen off a bit? Still a really solid IPA though!

I think they marked it out 150 days from canning, putting it in mid to late April, but I'm not positive on that.

That would make more sense I guess. Wondered why if it was a new release, they canned it back in March!

For some reason I really feel the 110 IBU in there and wished it was a little toned down and a little more balanced. Still very enjoyable and my favorite from Tallgrass. At this price point (7.99 or 8.99 I can't remember) I'll definitely buy more.

LOVE this beer. Great addition to the family.
The new Pub Ale & Halcyon cans are awesome too.

What's next from Tallgrass? Vanilla Bean BS in 4-packs??

I'm not sure if the "wink" is because it already is in four packs? Or that you want it and truly don't know that it is available in four packs?
