A Philadelphian that says 'every week is beer week in Philly' is like a New Yorker that says 'I love New York.'

correct. and it may or may not be run by some sort of European mafia. I couldn't tell, since they all spoke about 5 different languages.

Is the event list on the PBW app up to date? Almost none of the events seem to compare to those I have attended in years past. I certainly hope that's not everything.

Not all the events have been posted on the PBW app, some bars have posted info on their webpages (Local 44 for example)

The schedule isn't usually completely ready until the week or two before.

Really? For some reason I always thought it was sooner than that. Guess it depends on the establishment. Thanks for the info!

It varies. The beer dinners and other ticketed events are usually announced on the early side, and of course the annual events (e.g Bella Vista Bash, RR at Local 44) too. I think a lot of bars don't know for sure what exactly they're getting yet, so they don't want to promise anything yet.

Any chance this would include a growler of Willoughby PB cup coffee porter?

Well, I've had KBS twice this week at two different bars. A regular Philly week is probably better than most other cities' official beer weeks.

    Random PBW updates, tidbits, etc.

    - Hill Farmstead is apparently not doing PBW this year, so today at the Cambridge is probably gonna be your best chance at several HF beers at once until fall/winter - http://beeradvocate.com/events/info/61270

    - Although not "technically" part of PBW, the details for the Tired Hands 1st Anniversary Party on 6/2 just came out yesterday. I imagine that will be quite a scene - http://beeradvocate.com/events/info/61542

    - some of the singular brewery appearances I've seen so far for PBW is Duck Rabbit at Old Eagle, Cigar City at Bainbridge St. Barrel House, Abita at Doobies, Clown Shoes at Good Dog, Elysian at the Industry, and Bear Republic at Local 44 (although I suspect that at least a couple of those will do more than one by the time PBW rolls around).

All three will be on tap pretty regularly during beer week. There's already a ton of Founders events scheduled, and the city usually swims in Pliny during beer week.

Back in the old days I could get both Pliny the younger and elder at the Blue dog in Chalfont on the same night.

    I miss those days.
Founder take over at Blue Dog and Issac Newtons during the week too

We are having 3 really cool Elysian events during the week. The one at Industry like you mentioned. I'm getting them a brew pub only firkin as well as a few diffrent one-offs. The "west side is the best side" event at city taphouse will have 5 brewpub only pours. Also, we are having a tap takeover at Perch Pub which will feature some new releases as well as some one-offs. Resurrection is also getting a firkin of a dry-hopped brewpub only release. The city taphouse event, strangeloves, bottle bar will all have some "rarer" Uinta beers tapped as well. I'm sending a few sixtels of the Cockeyed Cooper this way for the week, which rarely make their way out here. Unfortunately with 21st Amendment i'm limited as far as bringing out the rarer stuff. But our new Imperial Jack will be tapped at a few different events

When browsing through all of the events on the PBW ap... Things appear a bit less fruitful with the noticeable absences of Hill Farmstead and Funky Buddha relative to last year. Cigar City's presence seem smaller too. Has anyone zeroed in on what they consider can't miss events this year, or otherwise have a list of events they've made up that they'd most like to attend?
