Hey all, I hope everyone is doing great. Thanks for any time you guys use to help offer advice. About a month ago I set up a rare beer night that I hosted, (probably not rare by most of your standards) to try to help spread good beer to my friends. Heres the list I acquired HF Citra APA growler, Heady Topper, Eclipse, Fruet, Hunahpu, Cascade Blueberry, Apricot. Anyways I want to up my game since I have a friend that will be flying down for the next tasting so lets knock this one out of the park what do you say? Okay so heres what I got on the list so far. Heres what I got in line so far. Heady Topper A Hill Farm IPA BCBCS Chocolate Rain Westy 12 (will probably buy some online) Rare (have a solid trade lined up on HBT for this) so what else do you guys recommend and what can I snag with my limited left over ammo. Heres what I have to trade. 1 Chocolate Rain (two if need be) Bois BA variants White Chocolate RR sours Heady (got a case on way) HF... have ephriam on way right now got a couple BCBS and Darkness along with BCBCS. other than that not much. I can offer futures of BT but Im not sure if those will be ready in time. My friend is tinitively planning on flying down in 6 months. so thats the time frame for now. I dont want it to become all stouts but I was thinking of trying to track down another stout between BCBVS, BA kopi, or Cherry Rye. Other beers I really wanna see if I have the possibility to include are King Heny, and Fou foune. Let me know if you have suggestions obviously I will only have the chance to score another 1 or 2 at most. Im just a bit concerned about the tasting being all stouts. I still need a sour or two to balance the list out. What do you guys think I can get and what do some of thee beers take to bring down? Haha not the case of heady will be drank by June. They are the hardest beer for me to not drink. I hope I made sense last night I was drinking of the kegerator so..... Anyways what do you guys think. Do I have enough ammo to snag a bcbvs, king henry, ba kopi, cherry rye, or FF? What's a decent offer for these guys.
I would say that you've got enough ammo there to probably snag multiple items on your wants list. Clearly CR will pull a nice beer for you. And I recently traded 2x Darkness for a KH so I'm sure you could pair your Darkness with others from the list to snag a KH. I would recommend being mindful of the beer you're going after and attempt to offer beers for it that aren't from the same state. Not always the best policy but it wouldn't make sense to offer the RR sours for the Kopi. Best of luck to you with your future tasting!
