Yes. It is not, however, (other) user friendly, and a lot of what would be user input variables in software are embedded constants (based on my equipment/processes) in the spreadsheet. Having said that, if you want it, beermail me.

Made my first recipe today on Brewtoad. Wow, what a pain in the ass. You can't move ingredients up or down on the list. The hop and fermentable global databases are beyond lacking (no hop extract in the hop list. 1 kind of Australian hop). Can you edit the O.G. and F.G. yourself? I can't find where to do it. The site is long on looks, short on functionality.

And, to the guy who's mad because we're complaining about Brewtoad: Perhaps their development team should take a look at this thread? There's more info here than they could ever get from a few emails. And, *gasp* someone is complaining about Brewtoad in a thread created to talk about Brewtoad? Travesty!

Not mad my friend, just trying to point out that BeerAdvocate and BrewToad have nothing to do with each other, and your assumption that anything you post in this thread will be monitored with bated breath by them is a mistake. We can talk about it's utility in what we've tried but that's about all this will do. There is alot of feedback here, true, but it really is just us talking about it and it doesn't help them or the site one bit. If you want it to be better, contact them directly and do us all some good. They have a feedback link that will go directly to them! *gasp*

Oh and to answer your question, check...their website:
HOW CAN I ENTER MEASURED OG, FG, TASTING NOTES, ETC.?

I didn't make an assumption Brewtoad's devs were looking at this thread. I said they SHOULD take a look at it. And imagine that? People talking about stuff on the internet? Go figure, my friend.

Oh, and their feedback widget is broken.

Well hell, send 'em a link to this thread so they definitely know about it! See if you can get them to participate! There are many industry pros on BA but I'm sure they don't keep up with it as much as we do.
<email link still works, but I don't see the widget now either>

Brewtoad is simply awful. AWFUL. I hate it completely and utterly. I hate it so much that I might end up using Beersmith, which I do not like either. Bring back Hopville.

Thanks for the link geezerpk, I'm going to try out brewersfriend because I need something else.

Kai Troester has helped develope the water calculator for that one.

I have Beersmith, won at a competition, but still use Promash as it still works andi know it well.

If it works stick with it - unless it goes away.

Hopville had tons of bugs which I don't experience with Brewtoad. Yes, there certainly are improvements they can make but like the guy said, contact them so they know what they can improve on.

I made the switch to Brewtoad before the buyout of Hopville. And, while both had certain things I liked I still preferred Brewtoad. Now, it looks like I should eventually get the best of both worlds as more features get switched over..
