The same mailman delivers his mail almost everyday. Confront him about it, find out why he didn't take the Orval, and beat his ass for being an idiot. J/k

I highly doubt he took them. The most plausible explanation is that they broke and they repacked the rest up and delivered it. Second most plausible explanation is that you didn't actually send it.

Maybe I am lucky, but I have never not received what was sent to me, and vice versa.

You packed up a box of beer, shipped it to your buddy, and then went to his house right around the same time? Fuck, I'm 100% sure that I'm confused right now.

I shipped him out of state brews, and flew home to Detroit. Not bringing it on a plane

Feel free to close this thread, I got my answer, don't use USPS.

I love how some people are trying to convince me that I simply forgot to ship said beer... No, USPS misplaced/stole it, whatever you want to call it, hopefully other people don't make the same mistake and use UPS instead.

...Why not? I've flown with 30 beers in checked bags. It's way less risky that shipping USPS...

How was the wine? Sometimes the best trades are the ones you had no idea you were making.

Please read this before shipping any more beer, and please take the word of all of us who tell you the mailman didn't steal two beers. they probably broke, and the box was repackaged, which happens, or you forgot, which also happens though you think it didn't. In any event read this before sending any beer to anyone again.

    How to send beer

Dude, it's super easy and hassle free to put beer in your checked bag. Just bubble wrap it and put it in middle of your suitcase. Completely legal.

Those guys opened my box, looked at my beer, and then taped it back up with their special TSA tape (true story). They didnt steal anything. Must have been the quality of the beer......

Unless the clerks are dicks. I packed a case of Pliny and a bunch of bombers in another bag. The bags were hard shelled, every bottle was bubble wrapped and I double sealed it with trash bags in the case something broke. I get to the airport at 6am, one bag was 2lbs over and the clerk asked to open my bag to see why it was heavy. I said yes because I'm not going to eff with the clerks. The dude starts feeling around and asks me about the bottles, saying that they could break and leak over other bags. Luckily, another clerk say my desperation, talked to his supervisor and cleared everything up. Told me that they could have held my bags, but since I took the time to secure them, he would let me take them this time... almost missed my flight. Southwest airlines FTL.

When Ruination 10 came out an excellent trading partner sent me a bottle. Box got here, there were 2 bottles of Alpine, but no Ruination. Ok, maybe he forgot? I didnt want to seem like a dick and seem ungrateful by asking where the Ruination was, but texted him and told him. He was incredulous knowing he put it in the box. Then I looked at label, yep, it was 7.5 lbs, the weight of 3 bombers so he definitely packed it. We both thought someone must have stole it.

It came by UPS or Fedex, I cant remember, but I checked the tracking and sure enough at some point it was damaged in transit. So, the Ruination must have leaked or broke, they took it out, repackaged and sent it on its way. Upon further investigation of the box, I could see this is what happened. So, this is what happened to your "stolen" beer.

I had some friends fly in via southwest back I February and check a styro shipper that they had written "yeast samples" on the sides of with minimal hassle.

In retrospect, their experience is probably the exception to the rule.

Yeah well I weighed it and left room for error. Apparently my scale was a little off.

Yeah, it shouldn't be an issue. I don't think I would have had a problem had I dealt with the right clerks. It was one guy that was really being a stickler.
