Goose Island (Clybourn) closes at 4pm on Saturday so if you're set on going, go before then. When I was in on Monday night, the only (interesting, IMO) bottles they had available were 12oz. of cellared Pere Jacques and 22oz. of cellared Sofie. If you swing by on Sunday, it looks like they'll have their anniversary double pale ale (Silver Jubilee) as well as a Flanders available in bottles. The local mega-chain of liquor stores is called Binny's, and one of the largest outposts is next door to the Goose brewpub. You might find Big John still but it's highly doubtful that you'll find any BCS (regular or otherwise) on any shelves at this point.

I suggest spending Saturday evening at Revolution -- either the brewpub or the brewery. No food at the latter, but you can buy bottles/cans to go. The brewery is also near The Beer Temple, a great store with a great selection. West Lakeview is also great, particularly if you're looking for imports. If you have the time, head up to Bottles & Cans (beer store) and Half Acre (brewery with a lovely tap room).

Apocalypse Cow is the June seasonal and Behemoth came out in January -- again, highly doubtful you'll find any of those, either. The brewery itself would be your best bet for FFF beers, in general, but it's tough to say what will be available on the day of (esp. when it comes to ZD). They sent Permanent Funeral out for distribution, so who knows how much is left. Check here before you go: http://www.3floyds.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/current-beer-menu.htm

Most of what you are offering to trade gets distributed here. Might be wise to bring some limited beers if you want to get some bites on those wants.

what a sweet trip! got in friday afternoon

this was my first three floyds ever! it was battle of charro. i also had tonnerre neige, Arctic Panzer Wolf, and zombie dust while i was there. got a few things to go

got into chicago and biked around trying to find pipeworks. finally found the brewery as an unmarked building and realized it was not open to the public. it was all okay, though, because revolution brewpub was just around the corner! so we went there. had their very mad cow, threesome, Coup D'Etat, and double fist

coup was extra good because i had just been listening to this earlier:

then went to their tap room and had their Rosa Hibiscus Ale i think. hard to recall the specifics at that point. boris was then great

saturday had two brothers the bitter end for breakfast. went to the conservatory and zoo, followed by Woolly Mammoth Antiques and Oddities

picked up a crap ton of things from Vas Foremost Liquors and Andersonville Wine & Spirits

so pumped i got a lot of pipeworks, especially Unicorn's Revenge! would you just look at that label

proceeded to half acre because the friend we stayed with was also a friend of the manager there. had iron brass, daisy cutter, and over ale, all while making delicious sandwiches with supplies we got from the grocery store across the street and drinking delicious coffee by dark matter. totally got hooked up with a half growler of iron brass pictured next to the eclipse above. got these at their tap room, including unicorn blood by dark matter!!!

then went to the map room. ended with this

and then saw boris for the second night in a row! it was so awesome!

i also got a sweet print for them that i took off the wall. drove back this morning. just got back a bit ago

I'm heading to Chicago this weekend from SF and this gives me some decent tips for what to look for. Might try to find a bottle of Permanent Funeral to try it out. I saw Boris play here in SF about two years ago and they put on a great show here as well.

Andersonville Wine & Spirits. that is also from where i got the two bruery ones. i came to the counter with more stuff than i could carry (my girlfriend helped me too) and asked if they had any left. the guy said he had one left and was saving it for someone that bought a lot, so i lucked out

Vas Foremost Liquors had the most three floyds bottles of any place i went. i do not think they had permanent funeral, but they had in the name of suffering, toxic revolution, and Rabbid Rabbit with a few others i believe. revolution brewpub may have been selling permanent funeral to drink there, but i do not remember for sure

Damn nice haul, and sounds like an awesome weekend. I missed out on Boris, didn't even realize they were playing until it was sold out.

You got a pretty good selection of Pipeworks stuff, Unicorns Revenge is a great IIPA and Coffee Break Abduction is great. Cash for Golden Ale, End of Days...etc.. all good choices.

Also props for picking up some Spiteful Brewing.

Anyone notice the Coffee Break Abduction isn't waxed? Wouldn't this make the first batch of the beer (that some thought was 'off' if I recall correctly) or is the newest batch also not waxed?
