has anyone confirmed houston stores are actually getting KBS? last week i heard something about this week, and this week has been quiet.

or $13..... and for that, i'd rather get a 6 pack of sculpin for a buck more and have 72oz instead of 48oz, assuming it's not old as balls.

 

Where's that darn KBS? I will be in downtown tomorrow for lunch if anyone wants to meet up at the Flying Saucer, or meet me at Specs. I'm hoping I get lucky and catch a KBS drop.

Sculpin isn't as good IMHO, and after 3 weeks its past older than balls.

I doubt we'll even hear about KBS until its gone.

 

How can you tell the age of Sculpin? I didn't see a 'bottled on' or 'best by' stamp on the bottles or six-pack. Do you have to go back to the case to find it?

 

They used to have a Julian code on the neck, but now it has an "enjoy by" date stamped directly on the label. You sure you aren't missing it?

 

if you found sculpin without a best before date, it's older than moses. now the labels (lower left corner, iirc) have a "best before" date that's three months out from bottling. i saw a six pack at a shitty HEB yesterday with a 07/27/13 best before date, indicating it was bottled april 27th, which was about two months fresher than the specs across the street.

 

I'll stop in at Specs Downtown/Midtown today and see if I can torture those guys into giving up some info about KBS.

And by torture I mean play Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus songs simultaneously. Secret weapon.

 

Get us that info! I require some KBS for personal consumption!
