Parabola in DC

    For the moment anyway, I live less than a mile from the Total Wine on Little River Tpk / Duke St.
    It has its benefits, but also a number of detractors. They frequently have out of code beer; and a lot of what they carry, I can find at any craft beer store... and I feel like we're spoiled enough in the DC/MD/VA area that I can be choosey about where I get my beer.

    I like TW because you'll most likely pay less than anywhere, it's easy to get someone on the phone at the front desk for inventory checks, they manage to keep the rare birds in stock longer than anyone else, they have parking, and they don't have crowds. I live in MOCO now, and the McLean location couldn't be easier to get to. I find VA impossible to navigate for some reason. So does Google maps.

    Schneiders ends up having things for longer than other stores. When I was living in NE, I was able to get all kinds of cool stuff from there.

    The guy at TW Alexandria said he should have it no later than 10am but probably will have it when they open at 9am.

    Btw, Cleveland Park Wine & Spirits had 2 bottles left as of 5 pm last night and they only got in a case in last week.
