Seriously there has already been enough negativity in the thread I would hate to see it get shutdown

I'm not a dude, and I think it is a fair trade. Stop being such a ***** about beer and let me trade how I want.

Tyranena is in the right...protecting their creations with the same fierce passion that goes in to their brews...if I were in their position I would have done the same thing. I find it humorous that so many people are up-in-arms about this. Has anyone ever taken the risk and started a brewery in a country flooded with new breweries? Has anyone ever tried to sell and distribute the beers they've brewed? If not, then how do you know what you would or wouldn't do in regards to keeping those beers you've brewed in the forefront of consumer's minds. I'm willing to wager that if one were as invested in the industry as Tyranena that they would be just as protective of their products...Pipeworks included.

The same thing happened to Great Lakes with Alchemy Hour. Yeah, I'm sure it's disappointing on the side of the brewery that has to change the name of one of its beers...but I'm almost positive that Great Lakes (and any other brewery) would pursue the same course of action to protect their investments (the beer) if the situation were reversed and another brewery had used their beer name. Two Bros. is experiencing this first-hand with Hop Juice...for it is Hop Juice no longer! There are a number of brews with that same name so they've switched it Hopcentric.

Also...it's just a name...and as long as the beer tastes great...who really cares what it's called?

Grow up guys...you sound like babies: "Wahhhh! They never called us! They were too "cold" and sent a letter that was "condescending" and used scary words like "cease & desist"!" Lesson learned...next time do your due diligence and check the name like you say you always do before bestowing one on your brews. If the situation was reversed you'd be doing the same thing to protect your interests. That's part of any business. It's a name...you've already changed it...no one cares as long as the beer tastes good...you missed the "scurvy" boat...get over it.

And Tyranena's claim is certainly well-founded when there are at least 3 major similarities between your beer and theirs.

This is a non issue anymore. They changed it to Marilime Law and it is delicious.

    Better late than never!

Just surprised at all the babies out there whining about a name so I just had to chime in. Cheers!

As I've stated repeatedly with mixed results, when it comes to posts that derail a thread, it is best for all involved to simply delete the offending posts as opposed to locking a thread down. Hopefully this is the case here.

Hahaha!!! Glad you see my point. Can't wait to try your new beer called...wait, I don't care what it's called as long as it tastes good.

You should put out a beer called: "A Rose By Any Other Name"
