Parabola in DC

I was when I lived at 17th and T! I'm in Kensington now, so I'm no threat to your DC beef. I told him on the phone it was only a matter of time before someone bought them all and traded them away. That seemed to do the trick. I'd never seen Cantillon anywhere around here and wasn't looking for it. I saw it plugged into the Parabola thread earlier and checked the McLean inventory online immediately just to check and there they were. Got dressed and got in the car immediately. These are my first bottles of Cantillon. I'm pretty stoked.

 

I hesitate to defend any given store to you. Looking at previous comments you have made, some store employees make you unhappy. I get that. I think you probably have more BA awareness than 90% of employees that I come across in any bottle shop. I also think I drank some of your traded beer you did with a buddy of mine in the area. Thanks.

I think someone simply missed two cases of something they have never seen in this area before.

 

I saw a recent story that said they had hit some snags and hope to open late this year. Can't find the link. This seems to be par for the course with brewery openings. Remember when Blue Jacket was supposed to open last Fall?

We will be poolling resources this summer. I am going on a two week beer safari in New England in July/August. Lots of goodies will be bootlegged back. Max is my point man with trades.

TW Sterling had one bottle left when I was there 20min ago. $16 for a 750ml is an excellent price.

 

I figured they would have been sold out yesterday given that they came in on Tuesday. Good looks.

 

Bluejacket is going to be NRG's "Duke Nuke'em Forever" of bars. "It will be ready when it's ready" seems to be their mantra at the moment.

 

Not to derail this back on course - but TW Manassas had two bottles of parabola left as of 20 minutes ago.

 

I can't imagine how much revenue they've already lost by missing such a large chunk of the baseball season already. No one goes down to the Navy Yard the other 6 months of the year.
