Yeah the only reason I think I would have to choose is the fact that I will be driving most everywhere we go, so I have to worry about getting around safely. I appreciate the help. And as you mentioned, Alpine is apparently tough to get ahold of so I will most likely forgo Pizza Port (unless it works out otherwise) to go for some things I won't be able to find elsewhere.

Funny, My wife and I are doing the same trip at the same time, minus the San Diego, plus Oregon. I see you're a Florida BA too! We're in Sarasota. We arrive in Anaheim June 19. Maybe we'll bump into you at a pub out there!

Port, yes. Pizza Port, no. Pizza Port does not bottle anything.

Nice trip! Hit Alpine for sure, easy to get there from the city.

You must go to Alpine. Best IPAs on the planet.

    Couple things NOT beer related:

In SD near Old Town is a mexican place called El Agave.Think of a white tablecloth mexican place.Good food, great service and a VERY extensive tequila selection.

I'm a NoCal native. And honestly most of the restaurants at Fisherman's Wharf are pretty good.Even pier 39 has the Crab House which we've eaten at a few times. No seafood is cheap but like I said I've had pretty good meals at a few spots.Or else the Stinking Rose in North Beach for Garlic-centric cuisine.

Unless you have an outstanding reason to go to Monterey, I would leave that part out of the trip. That's a whole lot of back tracking for not much payoff.

Take beer into YNP, not much there. I would reduce time to spend a day an afternoon or evening at RR and stay in Santa Rosa. I did a similar trip but started in the city, up the coast then to Petaluma, then RR, next day Napa...yawn...then YNP. A growler of RR while eating lunch at Glacier Point....

Yes, you are backtracking about an hour, but hey, you have to come to the area!

CRBC (Cannery Row Brewco) Is fantastic. To the guy up there who said they dont brew, no they dont, but they have it brewed locally. Anyways, they have 70+ taps and an extensive bottle list. Right on cannery row so your wife would love it. Also walking distance to a a very nice bottle shop called Bottles And Bins. Little secret too, if youre on cannery row and you find Trail Side Cafe, their breakfast/brunch is fantastic and the decoration is very well done. (they also carry Pliny and blind pig  )

    Congrats on the wedding. Enjoy!

While we're on the subject...heading there in July. 4 days in the city, then off to explore the surrounding areas for a few days. We're thinking of 1 night in Healdsburg, then on down to Big sur for two nights with a stop in Santa Cruz for a night.
My debate is should we do two nights in big sur or shorten it to one, and do two nights in Sonoma?
Is there plenty of beer places to hit up in big sur? Also any recs on bars in bug sur and Sonoma would be greatly appreciated.

Try some Mammoth Brewing Co's while you are around YNP. Havent seen them talked about on here but i have found their stuff to be good. Also comes in cans so they are good to take on a hike.

Stay in Carmel, stumble home after back alley bars. Alpine is the actual brewery 30 minutes from you. Stone is right next to Alesmith. O'Brien's supposed to have good beers too in SD. Skip Coronado entirely, nothing of interest there on my visit. Bruery probably shouldn't be missed. On the way to Yosemite you could definitely do a small detour to Kern River. Wave when you pass LA

Did they open a wormhole between Escondido and MCAS Miramar?
