Found a case of Bigfoot by chance yesterday that was bottled on 12/xx/11. Couldn't help but buy it. Delicious.

What is the preferred age of a BW?

Sierra Nevada is one of the only breweries that I never feel like I'm "taking a chance" on when buying a product of theirs that I've never had. I can almost guarantee never to experience buyer's remorse from any of their brews.

The only others somewhat like this that are readily available to me are Bell's, Lagunitas, and Victory--but Bell's can't compare on price, Laguntas can't compare on variety, and Victory doesn't do what SN does on such a large scale.

I've probably had at least one (usually, many more) Celebration every year since 1992. I don't think I can say that about any other beer...well, with the exception of SNPA! It says something that I've admired Celebration from my college years through my mid-forties. A great value never goes out of style.

figured this was an appropriate thread to post this in. Hanging out at my local brewery earlier in the week a bar owner comes in to pick up a couple of sixtels and says "I found this in the basement, it's probably not any good, you guys want it?" ummmmmm yeah!!

I went to a local bar a few days after they had a Sierra Nevada tap takeover, so they still had some cool Sierra Nevada stuff on tap. I tried their Fritz and Ken's 30th Anniversary Stout- probably the best stout I've ever had that I had never heard of. So creamy, smooth, and delicious.

If I had to pick just one, Torpedo. It is widely available and has a good price.

Celebration is my favorite, but I love there Pale Ale, it was the beer that made me realize I liked hoppier beers.

Celebration followed by Ruthless Rye and Bigfoot. That being said, I'm deeply indebted to Pale Ale for getting me interested in hoppy beers.

One of my Top 3 breweries. Sierra Nevada has earned its place in the Pantheon of American Craft Brewers that resides on a cloud above the Colorado Rockies.

    1.) Northern Hemisphere
    2.) Celebration
    3.) Narwhal
    4.) Blindfold
    5.) Ruthless Rye
    6.) Pale Ale
    7.) Kellerweis Hefeweizen
    8.) Hoptimum
    9.) Red-oric
    10.) Snowed-In Stout

Since SN is one of the most widely available brands around, what beer from them do you recommend the most?

They are know for their pale ale obviously, but what else? My favorite is their Porter, it is extremely drinkable, has nice soft chocolate and malt, I might pick this as my one beer if I was trapped on a remote island. Their stout ain't half bad either.

I am starting got believe they should be the poster child for accessible craft beer.

I love how a lot of their limited, large format beers are like five dollars. Really dug the experimental hop beer they released a couple of months ago.

If i had to pick a favorite it would be Torpedo, but Kellerweis and celebration are very close seconds and thirds, respectively.
