Alpine Brewing coming to Minnesota

I am a real friendly guy that has no problem distributing "short fills" from a van down by the river or my garage.
My commission is liquid, and my distribution agreement is a handshake.(or wink,email,nod...whatever is easiest for you)

 

Can you give us him email? I'd contact him.

 

Anyone know a distributor they can put in touch with Alpine? If someone can run actual numbers and show them it makes sense, maybe they will consider it. There really isn't much like Alpine here in MN right now, so I have to imagine they would do well if the pricing worked out.

 

I am the other "guy" that Patrick sent this email to today (and I think I know who WarMachine is, since only 2 of us got the email!).

I sent an email through the general Alpine contact email on their website ([email protected]), and that resulted in this response from Patrick. I think a lot of us assume that the various breweries are on these forums and aware of the interest for their products, but I'm sure contacting them directly goes a lot further than posting on a forum.The fact that he reached out and lumped the two of us together on this one response suggests to me that we are the only people from MN who have contacted them so far.

I realize that a vocal cadre of beer nerds does not dictate a clear business decision for Alpine, but it certainly is a good start. Perhaps someone with more insider knowledge of the MN distribution realities could reach out and offer some sage advice.

I live in San Jose, CA (40 miles south of SF and 450 miles north of Alpine) and I can't even find a bottle of any Alpine beer around here. Alpine beer is like bigfoot, only heard of but never seen.

 

My guess is a call from a local distributor would go a lot further to express interest in MN then a few dozen emails from local beer geeks. Get JJT or O. Gravity guys to reach out to them- could be a good commission for somebody!

 

All I've ever got out of the deal has been a tee-shirt.

I once found Alpine Duet at K&L Liquors in Redwood City about a year ago. They had two bottles and I bought both. That is the only time I have ever seen Alpine Beer here in the Bay Area. Hell, it's even difficult to find in San Diego!

 

I bet you did a double take!

 

Oh! I got that, too -- some of the importers are real wise guys.

 

Just sent an email, giving my 2 cents. Hope more do this, so we can grab their beer from the cooler soon!

hammer them with e-mails these 3 great brews simply cannot be brewed in our back yard and then driven away right past our metro

 

If Alpine goes to Minnesota instead of NorCal I am going to strangle all of you. WE'RE NEXT.

 

Ok calm down... lol..We just want some,I think more of CA needs to get it as well, But let's be honest, the stuff is going to be brewed an hour and a half from the metro...I think the CA folk in our shoes would feel the same way.
