Broke my rule of not shopping at Life's a Cabernet tonight, as it was seemingly the only store with any MariLime left. No gouge so I feel a little better.

 

Not sure if I'm more excited about a possible coconut beer or Orange Truffle. I can't wait!

 

what's the deal with that? Janel who is almost always working there is one of our favorite people... we've asked them about pricing and they are usually $1 more on stuff just because that intersection and area is insane as far as rent goes (we looked at spaces right there... the rent is RIDICULOUS)... but are they going more than $1 more on stuff?

Coconut is one of our very favorite things... there will be MANY coconut beers when we can do it... without killing ourselves.... almost died on the 2nd batch of Nisperos from carbon monoxide baking the coconuts...

 

Well the time I went in for the first batch of RTA it was more than $1 over, but to be fair, she was not the one there that day. I met her tonight, really nice and helpful, so can't blame her for the previous experience. May have to chalk up that one time as being just that.

 

She is awesome. They charge a bit more but nothing outrageous, especially considering how easy it is to find your beers there.

Awesome event last night by the way guys, props to you and Co-op/Big Fork for organizing such a great event. I can honestly say that I don't think I have ever gotten my money's worth at one of these events as much as I did last night. End of Days keg stands were definitely contemplated there at the end...

 

Completely agree, Unicornucopia was fantastic. The beer & food were flowing, felt like an awesome house party. End of Days floats with White Chocolate Ancho Cinnamon Ice Cream were pretty epic.

Drowned myself in NvU at the event last night. It was like a Pipeworks "Kegger", nice job guys.

 

What hops are used in ninja vs unicorn?

 

I just picked up a bottle of Unicorns Revenge from Binnys in Plainfield yesterday and there's no batch # on it. Anyone know what the batch # is? Pipeworks made the delivery on Monday.

 

The one I grabbed at HP Binny's today was batch 130 I believe...I'd go to the car to look, but it's raining and I'm made of sugar.

 

Got my NvU at 20 West Wines in Lombard from Monday delivery and it was batch 132.

 

My last UR was batch #129 and was bottled around May 9th

 

I would like to be the first to try the Coconut IPA also named Krazynut Unicorn

 

The one I picked up yesterday was 135. I was in town from Boston and stopped by the Revolution Brewpub, went across the street to grab a 6er oh AH and they were out, but had two bottles left of NvU. I left one.
