Dude, incredible post. Thanks, much appreciated. Sounds great, good to know that homebrew supplies are available not too far away.

Wow! I am grabbing my coat and heading to Chester. You will survive, but don't think you are going to have a fridge full of Hill Farmstead at your beck and call. We should all get together at one of the birth places of good beer, McNeills, when you get here.

Love Ramuntos in Claremont, we stay at the Common Man all the time. When you have had your craft fill, hit The Pleasant Street Restaurant for the coldest PBR in the free world for two bucks. Also just up the highway in Windsor Vt is Harpoons second brewery (soon to be a distillery opening there also) and if you go a little further off the highway you can see the worlds longest covered bridge.

You have Brewfest Beverage in Ludlow which has a very good bottle selection and they also do growler fills .....

Also a great place to get a craft beer on tap with great views is Whetstone Brewery in Brattleboro. They aren't brewing yet but getting closer. Solid tap list.

Yes, we hit the Whetstone when we visited the area, really enjoyed the food and taplist. Also, pretty incredible sitting at the bar with a view out over the water.

Sooooo, how are their homemade beers? I'll have to stop on my next journey through.

Good to know that Whetstone's operations are up and running.

Whetstone's beers are coming along nicely. Beers are coming through the pipepline as they are working out some kinks. Definitely worth checking out.

Do you know what their plans are after they are into full production, are they going to still carry other beers or go exclusively to their own?

They only have three serving tank/slash bright tanks to serve from. So the most you will likely see out of them will be three beers at one time. The balance of their draft lines will be guest beers, and a solid selection at that!

Tim has really stepped it up and is serving an eclectic assortment of beer on tap. I think it's a tad pricey, but the selection is top notch.

The tap list is great. When I was there in April, I was bummed that I had a 3 hour drive ahead of me, I would have liked to have had a few beers. My wife got to though.

Wow Deanhead, you taught me a lot and have been living in southern VT for 10 years now. Send me past Londonderry or Rawsonville and I'm like a lost puppy...gives me some goals for when I get over there on "that" side of the mountain. Also glad to hear Whetstone is finally putting out their own beers.
