Super Brew 15 (#52 on the list) is shockingly, horrifically, blindingly terrible. I dont know what I was expecting from a nearly clear, 15%, $3/18 oz Romanian "Barleywine", but holy fuck it wasnt that.

I'll have to agree completely. My wife hates "strong beer" but I finally got her to at least give IPA's a try since she liked stormcloud. It's a pretty good IPA for a warm day. Their summer is great for the hot summers and I personally like ugly pug but everything else is average. I taste a similar malt flavor in all of their beers. If you get a chance to try the bourbon barrel aged winter warmer take it. It's wonderful.

512 pecan porter and Live oak Hefe is what I live for when I go to Austin. And 512's IPA. I'd also recommend Convict HIll Oatmeal stout.

For the rest of Texas, for a state that loves beer it sure seems like we have a lot of subpar brews. I'm not a fan of Southern Star. St. Arnold is just average at best. Everyone seems to love Firemans #4 but I can't stand it. Deep ellum has a few decent ones but again I'm just not that impressed.

    I haven't had a BMC in a few months.

Tonight, I ordered a Miller Light at a restaurant thinking it would be ok. It wasn't.

I don't understand how I ever liked that stuff.

But don't worry if some of your favorite lawn mowing beers pop up on this list, because this list is the subjective rating of people who are predisposed to what these beers are. A good example would be King Kobra, which is the 38th worst beer in the world if you go by this list, yet I can remember this winning a silver or gold at the world beer cup in a blind taste test.

    Coney Island Freaktoberfest... Gaaaaaagggggggg

Schlafly/O'Fallon/New Albion did a collaboration that tasted like burned rubber a few years back. I don't think that's what they were aiming for when they got together for a few minutes & threw together a beer.

I can drink most all of those watered down macros with no trouble at all. Easy drinking beer water works for me sometimes. In fact I'm chugging a Natty Bo from a can as we speak and its perfectly fine by me. Now World Crest seems to be toxic poison and Minhaus is the snake oil salesman of craft beer. Don't be fooled by the low price for the "craft" styles they offer. All I've tried are complete messy junk and taste horrible and drain pour. Drink BMC over Minhaus anyday. At least BMC doesn't try to pull a fast one on you and pretend to be craft.

and here I thought clamato sounded like the most horrific fucking idea of a "beer"...

just to discover that select 55 is rated even worse! OMG it must be awful. if you're that worried about calories, just drink water folks. tastes better
