So My first post here and I hope its no in the wrong location. I had an idea today of a beer trading group for vacationers or business travelers. The basic idea would be to pick up a case of a regional favorite in your area and arrange to exchange it for a case of a regional favorite with someone else in your new area. It might be a little complicated but the idea would allow some people to try beers from areas away from home.

    Any thoughts would be helpful.

every time i travel, i try to set up in person swaps. however, i've found that i can get about 220 oz in my luggage and have it stay under 50lbs so every trade you set up cuts into whatever shopping you can do. the nice part about traveling is you can go to a beer store and load up on what your distribution doesn't get without having to trade away any beer.

This is really just an IP trade.

Pretty much. Post in the regional forum, and then make an ISO: IP trade in where ever you're going. It's worked out well for me in the past.
