Next Saturday at 9am Crux is doing a bottle release of Tough Love Imperial Stout, Insider IPA, Impasse Saison, Offleash Pale and a new label version of Double Cross Belgian. I'll be in town for Memorial Day Weekend and will definitely be there. Anyone else?

This is not going to be on 6/1?

That Tough Love bottle looks pretty awesome. Sadly, I still haven't tried anything from Crux. Might have to change that soon.

Do you know how much they are going to cost? I know they have some spendy growler fills.

Hmmm.. Hate the trend towards smaller bottles these days. Nonetheless, have liked most of what I've had from Crux.

Why is that? I think it's great they're going with small bottles of imperial stout. Unless you're headed to a tasting isn't about 12oz perfect?

I was more referring to the 16.9oz session ale, IPA etc., that will likely be priced higher per oz than other beers of similar quality in 22 or 12 oz formats.

Could be, I haven't seen the price point yet. Double Mountain went a similar route with their 500ml bottles, what's the price point on those?

$3.99. By comparison a 22oz of Breakside IPA, Goodlife Descender or 10 Barrel Apocalypse/ISA are $3.99 or less for 22oz. But yeah we will see when they come out. Also, don't get me wrong, I love the way Oregon beers are priced in general but I think there is just a national trend towards these smaller formats and they usually don't work out to benefit the consumer.

I do have to agree with you on the imperial stout though. Anything more than 8-12oz is too much for me.

The first batch of Crux bottles (same size as Russian River) were $5 each. Probably the same with this go-round. No clue on the price of Tough Love.

Great release this morning. I was second in line at 8:50. Snagged Tough Love bottles for myself and friends. $12, no limit. Lots to go around.

If the guy from CO that I talked with sees this, it was nice chatting in line.
