I was a few hundred people back in the line, but was let in as soon as the gates were opened with group C tickets. The group I was with, close to 20 people, were almost all group C and were let in without a problem. The 'groups' are only there to dictate when you can buy the beer, and nothing else.

Are you talking about getting inside the fence? I had Group C tickets and spent the entire day inside the fences.

My friend and I were close to the front of the line (maybe 50 people in). When we entered, they were shouting to people that they could only step through the fence gate if they had group A. Maybe they were just being extra strict when they opened the gate. They had 2 or 3 people checking tickets and telling everyone without Group A that they had to wait to enter until their assigned time.

I just asked them on twitter and they said that you can enter at any time:

Thank you for the clarification! Good to know the reality of what the group designation really means! See you all there!

I've also heard that there will be some epic Cigar City Brewery beers on tap. Three Floyds sent down some kegs for Hunahpu Day and Cigar City returned the favor...

Just curious, are the guest taps free and a few included in your ticket purchase or do you have to pay individually for them?

I sure hope Hunahpu is one of those kegs!

I wish they were included! You have to pay individually for them. Last year, I never actually hit the guest taps, but in 2010 it was $5 for pints of anything....which was very....dangerous. Yes, dangerous is the word I was looking for there.

I was pretty fortunate to get a pour of the Pappy Ridge Hunahpu, which was outstanding, as well as a sip of oak-aged DL, which was quite nice.

After the gates opened, our group went directly into the pub because we knew full well Rare would be gone. In the pub, we ate, had VL DL, Oak DL, and Zombie Dust. We had group B tickets, got in line and poured from bottles brought in. I will gladly skip guest taps again if this scenario happens again.

So I've got a hotel room for Friday night at the Hampton Inn - all they had left were rooms with 2 Queen Size beds. I wouldn't mind saving some money on the room so if anybody is interested in splitting the cost of the room for a bed, let me know. It will just be me and my girlfriend. PM me if you're interested.

Nope. One of my favorite parts of the Anniversary party was daring anyoneto cheer when one of the bands walked by...and call them Nickelback. I don't know who the band was but they got a good laugh out of that one.

I had to hear about Cigar City's Milk Porter being the most surprising beer on draft at DLD for a full month after the event. I didn't get to try it because I was too busy drinking Zombie Dust.
