But in all seriousness, I think I liked BB1 more than BB3, and BB2 still tastes like bad medicine to me.

I'm actually trying to drink my cellar down a bit to just keep what I have in my dedicated beer fridge. I think DonD hit the nail on the head. Keep your eyes open on Craigs list and if you actually want to "age" the beers then buy an external thermostat.

Personally, since I've found that I enjoy the majority (not all) of the beers I drink with <2 years on them or even less then that I don't have an external thermostat. I do think the the colder the beer is stored the more it is preserved as opposed to aged. So basically, most beers I haven't had or the more temp sensitive beers go directly in the fridge. The beers I know can stand the test of time (think guezes) go in my small wine fridge where they are stored at an appropriate and constant "cellar" temp.

Then I also have several boxes stored at a constant room temp in the closet. I have to keep a mental note of what I have and for how long I've had it so I'm constantly rotating/drinking beers from the fridge to my stomach, boxes to fridge, etc.
