I forgot about this from a couple weeks ago when I first saw it on a Blue Dog beer list but then I caught it on a Facebook post from the Stockertown Beverage page just now. Anyways, so that distributor has picked up the Helltown account, but the only place I've heard of any of it on draft so far was at the Blue Dog Chalfont.

Helltown is based out of Mt. Pleasant, PA (just SE of Pittsburgh) and for a newer operation (opened Spring 2011), their Beer Avg. score of 4.03 is pretty damn solid. Mostly English-style beers and American IPAs. Their English stout (Perverse) is rated #9 on BA and their English Brown Ale (Mischievous) is rated #10 on BA for their respective styles. Their DIPA (Idle Hands) also cracks the top 50 on the American Double/Imperial IPA list with a score of 95 (rAvg: 4.44).

Stockertown is saying draft only for now but possibly cork and cage bottles in the near future.

Good to see people on the other side of the state get to experience the awesomeness that is Helltown. Glad to see that Idle Hands was first to make it. Great DIPA.

I agree that Helltown deserves to get some more recognition, but I'm surprised that they've gotten big enough to warrant the expanded distributed - from what I understood, they self-distribute throughout SWPA.

They are now being distributed by Fuhrer, in SWPA that is of course.

I've had the Idle Hands on two occasions now and have been blown away by it each time. Really solid beer. I hope to see some of the other beers they make on tap soon.

Had Idle Hands and Mischievous Brown at Blue Dog in Chalfont. Idle Hands was awesome and Mischievous was quite good as well. Really excited to have a DIPA that good coming from a small brewery instate.

This one's my bad for the last minute notice cuz it went out on Monday but I just heard about it a few minutes ago (just submitted to the calendar).

There will be a mini tap takeover at Blue Dog Chalfont on Friday night of Helltown stuff, and the brewmaster's coming by as well (prob in town for NHC?). Extra Sinful Bitter, Mischievous Brown Ale, The Rapture IPA, and Oatmeal Stout. Starts at 6pm.

Mischievous Brown is on tap at the Trapp Door in Emmaus, PA for any interested Lehigh Valley folks.

Had Idle Hands at Teresa's in Wayne. It was fantastic. Looking forward to seeing more and bottles would be great.
