Is Chicago/Suburbs basically sold out? I've been on the hunt, but have been unsuccessful thus far.

Southwest suburbs. You have to forgive, I am pretty new at this. I just started learning about all these special release beers in the past few weeks. Pretty much missed to boat on everything lol.

Call MainStreet in Countryside. They might still have some. I was there a few weeks ago and they still had two cases of Sucaba, so they might still have Parabola. http://www.mainstreetwine.us/

Yup. Traded a '13 DL for that Parabola to a guy in Oak Lawn. If you did a little more investigating into me than you did (which is kind of odd in the first place), I mentioned the trade and asked fellow BA's if it was a decent trade. http://beeradvocate.com/community/t...eer-scene-looking-for-some-suggestions.90242/

Not really sure what you're trying to get at :astonished:

Just happened to see the latest haul thread and then checked the parabola thread and thought I recognized your avatar, so not stalking you just coincidence. And you made out in that trade. Cheers

Tuscan Sun in Hampshire IL (far west burbs) had 2 bottles left. But the are 17.99. They have a Facebook page, the owner will respond quickly

Whats that place like? I'm not terribly far from there and am always looking for new stores to check out. Is it worth the hour round trip to come down from Algonquin?

He's got a real nice selection. A little overpriced on everything. But you will find some gems there.

I would suggest drinking within a year or so. I had the 2011 release a month or so ago and thought its fading, not as much bourbon/barrel characteristics going on.

Just FYI, Armanetti's in Huntley on 47 still has Parabola on the shelf. Looks like at least a couple bottles.

    Damn. I should've bought more than 2 from there I guess. They're 19.99 IIRC.

The one I bought from there was $15.99 a month or so ago. I actually didn't notice what it was today.

It's $37.99. May have a cockroach in the bottle too. You should avoid it.
