    Hello Everyone,

I recently graduated from A&M and I just moved down to the Webster area for a job. I was wondering if there are any beer tasting or beer brewing groups in the area that meet regularly? I was also wondering if there are any nice bars/stores nearby with a good craft beer selection? Thanks in advance!

Nobi Public House is all you need to know. Great place, and they do a bottles share first Sunday of the month now.

Also, on the few occasions that you can make it into Houston, there is a regular bottles share the second Sunday of every month at the Gingerman.

Sherlocks on Bay Area is typically pretty weak for craft beer, but they will have a limited amount of Saint Arnold Bishops Barrel 3 and Divine Reserve 13 starting at 5PM this Thursday. It's a full bar, so they must be consumed on site.

We're having our (4th?) bottle share at Nobi Public House on June 2nd. I believe people arrive around 3ish and starts around 3:30. Come on down and meet us! It's my favorite regular bottle share so far.

Thanks for all the advice! I am going to try out Nobi tonight and probably run by the Specs.
I will definitely have to swing by the bottle share, although I don't have anything special at the moment. Once I get my first paycheck I can start trading/ordering online and I will be able to contribute more.
Interesting about the Shell in Friendswood, will have to check that out too!

To tag on. I'm in Galveston for the weekend. Brought a lot of stuff (50 bottles?) But if I need some more stuff are there any decent bottle shops or should I just hit up brew bros and beerfoot?

Welcome to the Clear Lake area. Everyone has already listed the best options in Clear Lake for craft beer. The Shell Station in Friendswood is owned by the same guys that run Nobi. Earlier this week their selection was lacking but as of yesterday they got a lot of beer in and have began rebuilding their inventory.

Welcome and for sure come check out the bottle share next weekend (June 2).

Spec's Galveston is fairly large and doesn't turn over much craft volume, so sometimes it has some great finds that are sold out at the usual spots around here and in town. Definitely check out Brews Bros and Beerfoot.

Which Shell is it in Friendswood? When I search Shell in google maps I get a few locations.
Thanks everyone for the warm hospitality. I look forward to meeting you guys at Nobi!

I live right by Kings and drive past it all the time and just never thought to stop in there. I guess I will have to try this place out.

Your usual Czech, German and Austrian lagers and hefe's. Paulaner, Stiegl, Spätan, Franzkishner and several others. All draft beers are served in 1/2 or full liters. I had a liter of Spätan Oktoberfest and Staropraman. The biggest beer, abv wise is Spätan Optimator and you can get it in a full liter. Food is traditional German fair wurst, schnitzel and the usual sides. Food is good. I've only been there once. Next time I go I'll be getting the pork shank. The wife liked their sangria and the food as well.

    Couple of tips:

Nobody cares what university you went too. If its not Oxford or Harvard, just skip it.
Stay away from the Shell station. That's my place. Find your own.
Don't hoard. This city seems to be full of people that hoard. Be cool.

Tell us what you bench. All new people to Webster who graduated from A&M must list their bench*.

Note: Does not apply to Texas Tech Alumni. I know what you bench.
