Last weekend, a Founders Pale Ale. I drink from the bottle a lot actually, unless I'm at home where glassware is available.

I don't know the exact time but if I'm having a Yuengling, etc. after work I'll drink it from the bottle. Also at a BBQ or outdoor party, I'm not messing with glasses. The beer selection normally isn't amazing.

I really didn't expect to find anything when I googled beer baby bottle. I watched all 1:23 and hate myself.

Like 6 months ago at a party I had some Abita Harvest Pecan out of the bottle. I very rarely drink from the bottle anymore but, as is the case here, it has to be a beer I don't find that worthy of putting in a glass. It's funny how appearance can change one's perception of the flavor though because, when I poured the same beer into a glass a few days later to review it, it came out looking much paler than I expected. It tasted like it had more malt than it actually did.

Agreed, but I think once you start bringing glassware onto the golf course, the beach, camping, boat etc, it becomes a bit much. But hey, if people do that then that's cool. I'd just catch so much shit from my buddies if I started bringing snifters and tulips with me to the golf course or beach, hell I'd never hear the end of it.

"usually when I want one in the shower"

Love that answer. Shower beers were a regular thing for me in College, haha

Well said. And while I totally understand where your coming from I can't help but highlight the irony of that statement. You wouldn't want to be perceived as pretentious by drinking from a tulip, yet you don't think it's pretentious to play golf, a game rooted in elitism. Again, not trying to bust your balls, I think you raise a good point about people going too far, but I have always perceived golf as much more pretentious than glassware (regardless of how much it costs for 18 holes, after all the "pretentious" label is used regardless of the price of the beer in the tulip). Just my three cents.

I've golfed twice in my life, and both times were last summer. I suck too FWIW but I like to think of it as a reason to drink and smoke cigars with buddies. Maybe in the locker room after a beer league hockey game would be a better example of when using glassware could be seen as pretentious, that would be ridiculous imo.

Do you understand the meaning of the word "pretentious"?

    pre·ten·tious

    /priˈtenCHəs/

    Adjective
Attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed

In other words, if one can afford to play a round (or thousands of rounds).... they're not being pretentious.

    That is all. Carry on.

No, I don't.... but you were the one that implied to know first.

So, who's being pretentious now, Mr. Clairvoyant? :astonished:

This Memorial Day I'm looking forward to pounding some Landshark lagers straight from the bottle while grilling. A lime will be added and perhaps tequila to flavor it up a bit.

I implied to know what? That golf is rooted in elitism? That's not an implication. I don't think people who play golf are pretentious, I think some are, just as I think some beer drinkers that use tulips are pretentious.

Saturday I drank an entire Super Fuzz from the bottle while getting ready.

Am I going to be put on double secret probation?
