List includes brewery tours/taproom visits/brewpubs...but not chain brewpubs like Rock Bottom, etc. Thankfully, dear girlfriend is a beer fan and supportive of at least one brewery visit on every trip. Sometimes, like our trip to Maine last week, we hit several. I love looking at the different styles of tasting room/brewpubs, to see how they integrate into the community, what experience they offer beyond beer.

I tried to count quickly and came up with 12 breweries and a couple dozen brewpubs. I am missing several. Not sure why I segregated the two groups.

    Favorites
Stone: I like to visit my rock on the stone wall.
La Jolla Karl Strauss: my wife and I would go there a lot when we started dating, and we ate there right after I proposed.

I'm surprised it took this long for someone to mention Ommegang. Beautiful brewery, knowledgeable and friendly staff, great beer, awesome cafe.
