Votes on the internet =/= demand

So voting isn't a reasonable means of gauging demand? Given the amount of old stone I've seen over the year the argument that stone=demand is questionable at best.

Please just put this in 6 packs and make it available year round

I never said Stone = demand. I said Enjoy By = demand, which is true. If you think Enjoy By wouldn't fly off the shelves in any location just because it didn't win a voting contest, you're not thinking very clearly. And Stone year-rounders on the shelves is an invalid argument when talking about this beer, or any limited Stone release. IRS, Espresso IRS, and vertical epics haven't sat on shelves near me, so it's doubtful a beer as hyped as Enjoy By would sit.

It is available year round. Just not in every area, all the time. Making it a regular shelf beer would defeat the whole purpose.

I've seen 09, 10, 11 and 12 vertical epics on shelves at retail prices in the last 3 months.

Enjoy by is CURRENTLY in demand, but how long will that last if they keep doing these releases long term? Eventually, people will have had it and to be honest at least here it isn't an even remotely hard to get beer when they do a release.

Their NOT selling it to you drives up demands and keeps it popular. I think you're proving my point to be honest.

Well, you know what they say about beers sitting on shelves down in Kentucky. Seriously though, your middle paragraph only proves MY point. Keep sending a somewhat limited beer to the same market and consumers will get bored with it. So why not send it to new ones? And just because I'm arguing for a system that will allow more people to try Enjoy By doesn't mean I'm generating hype. Yeah I want to try this beer, but you won't see me clamoring on the trading forum or online retailers to get it. I think it should be more about spreading the Enjoy By love than Stone getting free advertising through Twitter voting.

Ah I miss Kentucky guess I should change my profile but whatever.

Online votes are a great way to see if there is demand for something. I don't see your issue with this, it's how people show an interest. I'm not sure what else stone can do? If people stop voting then they aren't interested in those "big markets" you know like lexington kentucky???? (which has had it at least 2 times if not 3) but yeah they're a huge metro and that's the only way they got it? Living Cincinnati now and bigger market and it honestly seemed to sit longer here. So yes maybe you're right about moving it around or maybe too much goes to big markets. Either way stone has requirements about WHO can get the beer, as I understand it they require refrigerated trucks (does your area have that?) and certain requirements by the distributors. It isn't JUST about sending it to their existing markets and online votes. Does your city even meet their requirements to send it there?

Either way it's a nice beer....you get far better beers locally so I'm not sure why your bitching.

Funny how there was 15 bottles of the 05/17/13 at a local shop I normally dont go to, and when I asked if they were planning on discounting the bottles since it is now more than a weeks past the gigantic date on the bottle the guy laughed. Of course, I walked out without purchasing anything.

Regardless of where it ships, chances are it won't stay on the shelf for more than a couple of days at best. Let's face the facts, this beer doesn't need any more hype behind it. It's good, but the level of hype behind chasing that dragon looking beer truck is something that shouldn't be encouraged in the craft beer world.

I saw a lot of bottles around here nearing the drop off date. Here being Cincinnati so maybe not a great beer city but hardly a small place. I don't think it's as popular everywhere as some people think.

Out of curiosity are you sure the reason you haven't had it is voting and not an issue with Stone's requirements needed to distribute it such as requiring refrigerated trucks?

Probably. Since the enjoy by date is so conspicuous on the bottle, my guess is that unless Stone is willing to take it back, many distributors will not get it if they don't think they can sell it all by the enjoy by date.

Don't get your hopes up if they include your state. They said they were distributing to Florida finally for the last batch and completely shut out the entire NW and NE part of the state. Jax, Pensacola, Panama City, and many others got none. ******ed.

Stone does get distributed from trucks that are NOT refrigerated.

They all sold here in AZ pretty quick, at least on my side of town yet I don't see AZ listed yet. Most the stores by me actually sold out the same day. So if they want it to go somewhere where it will sell quick, I hope they consider AZ for this batch.

Anyone in SFBay see it yet? I was told the distributor skipped us entirely.

It hit SoCal yesterday, apparently. Fortunately, I remembered in the afternoon today and called my local Bevmo. They still had some and I got 4 bottles. The guy in the store told me they got it yesterday and was surprised it was still there. I thought for sure they got Stone stuff on Tuesday. I guess I was lucky.
