Ok.... Whole Foods Sugar Land had BBH FUN005 in the back today. Not sure how much is left... but this is your chance to score some if you haven't yet.

On another note.... Love Street Summer is a really nice summer beer... going to pick up a couple of six packs for some easy drinking in the heat.

 

4 bottles of BBA HF 005 at HEB Fairmont Parkway.

 

It's about time they put it out. I was wondering if they even got it in.

 

Anyone feel like there was more 005 than 003?

I swear it was so much easier getting 5 than it was 3

 

I'm not sure if I was in the beer game when 003 came out, but I expected 005 would be a lot harder to find than it has been. I keep stumbling into the stuff.

 

Sucks this is just being put out by them now. I was hoping to stop by and get some when I was home but too late now.

 

I thought 003 was easier to find.. but I haven't been out looking for 005 really... so that is probably it.

Just glad I was able to get 4 bottles of both.

 

I usually go in their before work for food but haven't stopped by recently. I figured they didn't get any this time.

 

I kind of wish I didn't drink my 005 after my KBS. It was good (and different) but couldn't compare to the KBS for me.

 

Was it the coffee in the KBS that was the difference? I haven't had the chance to try KBS (or FBS), but if it is anything like Expresso Yeti or Victory at Sea, then I think I might enjoy it more also since I'm a big coffee guy. I can't wait for Expresso Bourbon Barrel Aged Hellfighter (XBBAH)

I drank Hop Delusion pretty much all weekend. Took a 64oz growler home and I wish I had taken 1 more.

 

I could do an 003 for an Ananke. Where are you located?

So I spoke to David at Karbach regarding BBA Hellfighter and he mentioned that 005 was in the barrels longer than 003.

Although he did agree that the Bourbon was more apparent in 003 than it was in 005. He also mentioned that there was more 003 than 005.

 

005 seemed to replace the chocolate and vanilla taste with dark fruits.

While not bad, I like the chocolate a bit more.

I still don't get how it was in barrels longer. We saw facebook of when it was put in and taken out. I can't imagine 003 was in there for only a month...
