It's whale status. They're so rare the newb traders on here don't even know how to hype them up. Most of my friends agree the Brandy Old Stock is one of thr most amazing beers we've ever had. Bourbon '05 is pretty amazing itself. Sadly, they're not getting any better so find a good time to drink them.

I've since returned twice to the store where I found my first four-pack, picking up another one each time (still the 2011). The last time, which was today, I took the last one. I gave people a good couple of weeks to clean 'em out, but I guess people 'round here just don't know what's good.

It's odd, but I haven't seen any 2012 or 2013 Old Stock anywhere here. I guess the one store just got some in 2011 and decided not to order more since then because it was slow-selling.

Brandy is on deck for next friday. Will have to take bourbon to the next share I guess.

Just cracked up a 2011. It's awesome. the first Old Stock I've ever had was last summer a friend gave me a 2006, and it was absolutely amazing. Since then I've bought up plenty for me cellar. I would like to do a vertical tasting of at least the last 5 years.

So after reading this thread I guess I should buy the two 2009 Old Stock Cellar Reserves sitting at one of my usually liquor stores.

Is $22.99 a bottle a fair price? (I seriously don't know crap about aged beers so help a BA out)

I'd scoop them up in a heartbeat, personally.

Thanks for the advice. I've never had anything with that much age on it so I was hesitant to pull the trigger.

    I paid 3.25 for a 2013 12.oz,
    How's that stock up?

Old Stock is usually about $13 per four pack, so that's fair.

Indefinite growing vertical, 4th year running. We will see where they peak. One of the best cellarable beers I have had.
