Yeah, I went on ebay and found one for "cheap". I figure that I'm getting the hotel, rental car and flight for free, so I really don't mind paying the extra money on the ticket. At least I'll be within walking distance and have a decent parking spot at the hotel.

The two guys in front of me both got 2 glasses of rare each. On the 4th glass poured for them, it kicked 3/4ths of the way through. Guy gave me the 3/4ths of a glass and took another pour of $10 (what i paid for the rare). Definitely appreciated that. I owe him a handshake.

Staggered releases are fine with me. But more tents for guest taps would be better. That line was eventually pretty damn daunting.

In need of a single ticket for a first timer, have a lot to offer but too much to list, BM me and we can work something out.

Sorry if these questions sound stupid but this is my first Dark Lord Day and I want to be prepared. The DLD site says that coolers aren't allowed but you can bring a few bottles in for trading/tasting. What is the normal procedure for this? Are they ok if I fill a backpack with beer/water/snacks? What about parking? My hotel is about 2 miles away. Can I find parking closer or is it best to walk or get a cab? Thanks!

Cab. You have to get home. Be safe.

I can tell you parking won't be easy, but not impossible. Get there early and expect to pay. You could walk it, but you'll have to walk your beer back, too.

How do people keep their beer cold?

How early are we talking here, to have a good chance at a spot. Like 9am?

Depending on how early you are there, most people in line have coolers. Also depending on the line format, if they do it anything like XV party, you might be stuck outside the gate in line for 4+ hours after the gates open. I doubt it will be in that format, but many people get there early and expect a long line, bring a cooler, and when they are closer to the front of the line run and drop it off in their vehicle. As for bringing beer into the gates, you have a backpack, so either find a way to cool your beer in the pack, drink warm/hot beer depending on the temp, or just trade it.
